I'm 37 and have been doing TRT for about a year. Apparently I had low T for so long that I was unaware of alot of the symptoms until they went away. One of the major symptoms for me was how shitty my sleep was; the night following my first shot was the best sleep I had had in years. The major symptom that led me to start looking into it was poor athletic performance. I had been training jiujitsu for a couple years and I was constantly noticing how my strength would fail WAY before muscle exhaustion (in other words, bitch body). TRT made it so I could push myself harder in the gym. This made it easier to train BJJ longer, but it also made it so I could endure some weight training without being utterly wasted halfway into it. Also, my dick worked just fine(?) before TRT but TRT made sex FAR more pleasurable for me. Also made it way easier to wake up in the morning (probably indirectly due to better sleep).

Get it tested anyways, Noodle. It's a simple blood test you can have your doctor order at the same time you are doing your a1c. If your T levels are good, you can check that off for a few years.

My doctor is younger than me. I had him test my T levels awhile back and they were fine. I asked if I could get some anyway for the gains and he thought that was the funniest shit.

Its not illegal to prescribe it "for the gains" but you need to have a medical indication for it.

With the rise of transgenders, some people have actually come up with amazing mental gymnastics on why muscle and body dysmorphia should be a condition treated by testosterone therapy. Some of the various arguments are indeed the funniest shit. "I'm not man enough", vs "I'm not woman enough" and where does "I was born in the wrong body" with re: to gender dysphoria. Transgenders get so triggered when you compare bodybuilding (weighing themselves every day, measuring their necks, arms, hips every day) to the transgender experience who are ALSO weighing themselves daily, using a tape measure daily on their muscles, and monitoring their diets and checking their appearance.

Its interesting how much overlap there is between the two. The troll argument goes really deep-- these guys really put some time into it. It might not even be a troll, maybe there is a valid argument there somewhere.

I do know a plastic surgeon who does TRT on the side, funny enough.

Has anyone ever had any air quality testing done in their home? I have had some ongoing cardiovascular (or at least, they seem to be cardiovascular) health issues and I've been to every specialist I can think of and had a battery of tests done that all came back negative for any glaring health issues. Basically I constantly feel short of breath and when I exercise I get all the same symptoms as hypoglycemia. I've been to the pulmonologist, cardiologist, endocrinologist, E.N.T. and even a gastro specialist. One thing that has come up recently is the possibility of toxic mold in my house because it seems to get worse during the winter months when I spent much more time indoors (I've gotten pneumonia each of the past 2 winters and am starting to feel like I'm about to have another case of it this year).

My problem is air quality testing seems... dubious. Not only that but all the companies I've found offer abatement as well as testing which screams conflict of interest to me. How reliable are these tests and are the tests even conclusive enough to be certain?

Go into your attic and look for Black mold. My parents house developed black mold up a side wall that then went into the attic and ultimately required the roof be replaced.

They found it after my mother was really sick as well, we had no idea.

You may want to look into a sleep study too. Do you know if you snore or anything? Those symptoms are all associated with sleep apnea.

Have you tried a bronchodilator to see if that helps any?

Not sure if this would apply to homes, but I do air quality testing in our lab. Just buy some agar plates (I believe you'll want triptic soy), lay them out in various spots for about 10 minutes, then cover them back up and drop them off at a lab that can do yeast/mold testing. Each test is usually about 30 dollars a pop depending on the lab.
