Neither of those is playable in constructed.

The minion one MAYBE in a tempo style deck where it could be used to fill out a curve if you get an awkward draw, but I still don't really see it.

The creature card is considerably better than the removal spell. The removal spell's playability will depend on how resilient minions are in the future.

Minion spell is good because it's always on curve, and as we've seen in the past, randomness isn't usually a great deterrent when it comes to minions. I can see it being auto-include due to its flexibility.

The damage spell would have been OP as fuck if you could target enemy hero, but minion only puts it below the damage curve. Probably won't get played without Flamewaker in meta. There's a rare chance it fits into a deck that relies on Antonidas since it's another fireball for 0 or 1 mana (if you can cast on 0).

Edit: Actually forgot Flamewaker was BRM, so it'll be in Standard, makes the damage spell a lot better

Forbidden Flame should see some constructed play as well. Super flexible and can even be used to ping/cycle perhaps. Yeah it is overcosted as a minion-only DD but you don't need to play it for all your mana, only all your remaining mana. Shaping I'm a little less sold on simply because it is random (of course) and there are a ton of battlecry minions still out there that would get crap for value. Both are spells though and that's great for certain decks.

I mean, way to early to call simply because we don't know other cards and interactions but I like their general concept and I can see possibilities in decks that feed off spell use.

EDIT: Forgot flamewalker is out, that definitely skews things a bit.
EDIT2: Or not! So, possible use cases still but now I see they are class cards. Thought they'd be just neutrals.

The spell is strong in any format. The minion is strictly arena because RNG.

Whoops didn't notice minion only. Yeah, probably both arena cards outside of flamewaker decks.

I was thinking they are both Mage. The Priest one might be playable just because Priest tends to have turns that just suck

It's not easy to tell, but there are colored borders on the golden versions top, mid, and bottom parts of the card that tell you which class a spell belongs.

How about give the mage one to a class that actually needs some better hard removal spells, like druid?

I'm not saying its good, just that of all classes mage needs it least. I guess it is shitty so it doesn't matter, but mage is loaded with removal but I guess that's the class flavor.

Dumb question time. I'm extremely new to this. I have got a whopping 400 gold now. Should I buy decks or give a try at the arena?

The random cards you draw from in arena are from just the cards you have or a wider set?
