Would you use that on an empty board? Obviously it has full potential when you can favorably trade and then "heal" a minion with it. But would you run Mistcaller(or some other minion who's mana cost is partially due to is battlecry) and then transform it immediately?

You wouldn't want to use it on an empty board, but the assumption would be worst case scenario you transform a totem. Of course you also have the scenario of turning tuskarr's into senjin or yeti and shit. Or even later game, like you said trade with your six drop that was discounted to four from totems, then on turn five you've killed a minion with it and used this guy to turn it from a damaged 5/5 into a fucking seven drop.

It's still a yeti on an empty board, so it is super good especially with shredders departure from the 4 slot.

Those last 2 shaman cards look great, not sure it turns it around for them outside of aggro but its a good start.

I think that a mid-range or control Shaman will make a come back with these cards.

Wanted to do something different so I tried to do a Reno Mage today. That failed spectacularly against agro. It just wasn't consistent enough in the early game (or in drawing Reno in time).

Now I'm doing a Reno Malygos Freeze Mage. Pretty fun. Lost once because 2 doomsayers in bottom 7 cards and couldn't play Reno, that sucked. Other than that Reno hasn't been too significant most games, I think he only won me one. Malygos catches people off guard though. 1 tick of Emperor for Malygos Frostbolt 2x Ice Lance 26 to the face is a pretty good way to win the game it turns out. I even had a game against a Paladin that I just dropped a naked Antonidas to basically heal for 8 (he had to overkill by 1) because I didn't need him (turn 8 blizzard doomsayer, turn 9 Emperor Nova, Turn 10 gg)

That is a fricken amazing card for Arena. It's a rare but should still see it pop up frequently during drafts given the higher weighting for new cards coupled with class cards to show up.

Wonder how Brann interacts with it too, would it evolve the same thing twice? Evolve 2 different cards? Finally looks like playing and collecting Shaman cards might start to pay off!

Unless it transforms the higher level minion into yet another higher level minion which would effect a 2 level buff instead of 1 level buff

if that's how he works it would be a crazy pairing with this card, though I don't know how often you'd realistically get to trigger it. Brann has that nice interaction with Fire Elemental too...midrange shaman is known to run argus and azure drake as well, so maybe not a bad inclusion if it does in fact synergize.
