I would say every hero is an acquired taste. They all have a theme and have differences in how they're played.

Feign death but with a body. 6/5 body on 5 mana is a very good body too. I like it a lot.
In wild it seems strong, but I dunno, not sold on this one for standard.

That is a great card for hunter. There are a few decent deathrattles hunter will have access to and it makes infest and stalker better already. Infest and this is pretty awesome. Hell, having a really solid hunter legendary is nice by itself(dreadscale is just ok at best).

Also, is it just me or does there seem to be a lot of legendaries in this expansion? Lots of cool effects, but unless you drop some serious money, you're not likely to collect these cards. C'Thun everyone gets with a pre-order, but if you got the 50 card pack, you're only guaranteed one legendary due to the pity timer. Including C'Thun, you're only likely to get 3 total, 4 if you're lucky.

the average is 1 legendary per 20 packs. And yea, big expansions always have a bunch of legends. Look how many we lose in GvG

6/5 Beast for 5 is already great. Pop the DR on any living creature though is extremely powerful and even the threat of that changes how hunters' opponents need to handle Silv, HM and really anything with a decent rattle.

I see it more as a finisher for aggro but it'll definitely round out midrange and even help enable 'control' if that ever happens.

EDIT: As an aside, figuring out the original Huhu fight was a hell of a lot of fun back in the day. Got some monstrous rolling ignites on that whore.

It's a fantastic card but it's not nearly enough to drag midrange hunter out of the dumpster in wild. The problem in standard will be that all the good deathrattles that would let you play huhu on curve are rotating out.

6-2 and 2 wins from legend using what deck? Pretty sure 6-2 doesn't get you to legend.
I'm not sure why I'm responding to this, as the answers to your question are all in the post you quoted and failed to read. Burst Priest, you know the deck I mentioned in the post. 6-2 was that session, from where he started.

Not to be rude, but if I ever see a deck use Arcane Explosion I just know it's going to be a free win. It's horseshit. Arcane Missles is a better choice.
I hit rank 5 on like the 11th this month playing tempo mage w/ an arcane explosion. Recently I saw savj also running one in a reno mage, I've seen people tech it in, in the past. Just arcane missles does not go far enough against the zoo and paladin matchups. If you have turn 3 flamewaker/coin/missles that can help you take board control. But just missles?, any missles that go face are worthless, usually you are left with something like injured knife juggler, injured void walker, injured egg, maybe you killed an imp or an abusive sergeant. So now what do you do with an injured knife juggler on the board, you have to ping it and as mage you really can't afford to hero power every turn against those decks, it just won't work.

Interesting. Geez they really are pushing Cthun. Little disappointed by how many cards are centered around Cthun. It'll be interesting I guess, but overall I'd rather have more diversity. One attack off of Boulderfist for the Taunt, pretty decent I suppose. Definitely great with Cthun, obviously. 1 mana cheaper than Ancient of War for a loss of 3 health. 2 more mana than Senjin for 2 more attack and health and 1 more mana than Druid of the Claw for 1 extra attack and health. Hard to evaluate it without considering the Battlecry, but it pretty much passes the vanilla test. I don't see people using higher mana cost Cthun buffers with all the lower mana options available that are more efficient and better on a curve.

Since someone mentioned rank. I hit a whopping rank 16 lol. Hear me roar. Haha.

Even if I drop way down now I kind of prefer ranked to casual play. I'm not sure how the matchmaker works in casual but I seem to play mostly people who are playing the standard decks hearthstone provides with the free cards. In ranked that goes away pretty fast. I get to see a lot more new cards anyway. A lot of "what the hell was that" type of play.

You do understand your opponent isn't always going to have a silence in their hand.
Who said anything about silence? Twilight Summoner is a shitty card, and certainly won't be worth running in midrange hunter just for the chance of curving it into huhu.

Of course it's worth it for that chance. Putting out a 6/5 and two 5/5s on turn 5 is game ending. Common use scenario for that card sees you with a 5/5 that can attack on turn 5 which is itself a decent tempo swing.

It's not that great a card if your opponent can just ignore it and you don't get to use the 5/5 until turn 6, but because huhuran exists your opponent has to attack it before your turn 5.
