Yet when I challenged all of you in Beta 1, not one would accept.

want me to bring up those posts??
I got lucky enough catching Hachima in randoms of Beta 1, and he was as terrible as expected.

Tell you what tho, when this goes live soon they will definitely announce a competitive ladder like there other games.

Lets see who ranks higher mr pro ccg player . From what I've seen in Beta 2 , all you so called pro MTG players can't handle this easy game.
Although im sure you will just cry again about something new you can't win against.

My Pokemon league kids .
I guess one of the many Pedophiles finally made it from FOH to Rerolled.

Don't hate on Pokemon league man. Was the best part of the job. Dealing with 6 - 10 year olds was way more fun than your average MtG nerd.

How much cash has everyone spent on this game? I've dropped $16 so far ($10 for some packs and 3 arena entries). I'm at the point where as long as I do decently in arena, I'm guaranteed another run. And I'm confident enough in my play now that I can probably get at least 5 wins (save for a terrible draft).

As far as constructed, I'm 1-star diamond and I don't really see myself playing that too much unless I drop some more cash on card packs or I just play enough arena that I don't feel too gimped.

Still, $16 is a great value considering the amount of fun I'm having with the game.

$22, $20 in packs and one arena entry. Plan on just taking my time, not in any rush to get every card I could want. I'm currently plat 3 ranked, but I haven't played much ranked, probably something like 15-3 as a guesstimate.

In another note, I don't care how op mage becomes I will not play that champion because mage vs mage are the most boring, drawn out games.

I'll accept your challenge.
Obviously, its much easier to accept a challenge now in beta 2 when everything is much more RNG...

My beta 1 rogue/druid decks were over 85% win rate

I still have 3 decks in Beta 2 that are over 75% so send me your Battletag, and that goes for everyone else.
We'll play a couple rounds, and see what you got.

I played for a week in Beta 2, then I thought that was enough time to support the game.
Most games cost 60 bucks, so I think this one deserved at least a 50 dollar investment.

With that 50 bucks you pretty much dont have to buy anything ever again imho.

Someone explain to me the allure of these card games? Is there a tutorial on the basics (not just this one) that people recommend?

You are forced to play through a tutorial of increasingly challenging opponents to start with - so the game is self explanatory.
Nidhogg#1588 if anyone wants to play a bit. I'm Plat... something. I don't really know - just playing Priest/Paladin/Druid as they seem to be the ones I have the most fun with.

I don't believe you'll find a basic ccg tutorial because while strategies and some things can be the same the ruleset from game to game is very different. You would need to find the ccg that appeals to you and learn it. Hearthstone is very easy to jump in to as it does have a tutorial you play through. If you wanted to play something like Magic I'm sure there is a youtube video explaining the basics of the game.

Personally, I don't have time to spend hours playing a game. I hate starting games only to be pulled away by RL for a week or two and then I've forgotten half the story or I have to relearn mechanics. Since there's no story to speak of, only the game, which has simple mechanics, I can pick this up at any time and bounce out early if something comes up. Also, the game is deep without feeling grindy, unlike Puzzles and Dragons. Each match is only 10-20 minutes long, so I can play a game or two in the morning. And if I happen to have time, I can grind out an entire arena session.

I guess that puts me in the realm of "casual gamer", but whatever, I'm having fun.

I wasn't in Beta 1, but I would have accepted it then too if I was. :p Curious though, why do you say it was less RNG in Beta 1 than 2? I didn't really follow the game prior to my Beta invite a day after the Oct. 2nd wipe so I don't know what you're talking about.

Battletag is T?shi#1728.

Cult Master has to be my favorite card in this fucking game when playing a gay warlock deck with low hp but low cost.
Actually this is the card I didn't want to mention earlier, but I'm starting to realize its not that great in every deck. But in decks like my paladin weenie deck it is perfect. I can always play it when I'm about to trade at least two minions so it is like I'm playing a 4/2 for 1(assuming a card like arcane intellect is 3 for draw 2). If I cleared their board at the same time then they have to use a card to remove it their next turn or else I get a huge card advantage.
