I just had a really rough go of it just trying to knock out a Dominance quest. I used to be really good with Control Warrior but competition has gotten MUCH tougher lately. I have a feeling a lot of that is simply due to the fact that people are getting better cards and better at the game.

I'll give that list a try. I was running something similar but I keep running into shit I'm just not ready for. But I'm still not convinced that Control Warrior is a good counter to Huntard. The original control warrior had trouble with mid-range Huntard and it doesn't seem much different right now. The problem, for me, is that Savannah Highmanes are just a bitch to deal with. Even when I know they're coming and I prepare for them, they're just a royal pain in the ass. I realize that class specific cards are allowed to be better than neutral ones but these guys are tough.

Original control Warrior had a problem with Sunshine Hunter, true. It added one Cleave and the win rate jumped to like 75% for the Warrior. Just like one BGH increased the win rate by 25% vs Handlock. Single cards can make a big difference. If you are really struggling vs Highmane, add a Cleave in place of the Slam.

You really gotta get value out of your Ghouls and Armorsmiths in that match up, just so the game drags on. I prefer to save Ghouls for when UTH would be really bad for me.

Control decks in general with Kel'Thuzad are sick. I've made Druid, Shaman, and Paladin ones. They all seem to do pretty well on the ladder.

I just think that I'm sick of the game again. This is, by far, the most toxic meta I've played in. It's NOTHING but Zoo Locks and Huntards.

Play Ramp Druid (with all the taunts) or Paladin with Kel'Thuzad. Both do pretty well against both. In Druid you just keep dropping taunts until you get Kel'Thuzad out behind 1 or 2 of them and it's probably gg. Paladin is pretty much the same but with less taunts, more heals, and the ability to reduce their threats. I'll post the 3 decks I was talking about earlier a little later.

Control warriors are the bane of my existence second only to ramp druids. I see them more than hunters or zoo at rank 13ish. Any recommendation on something good vs those two decks?

Yeah, handlock. Or you can build an anti-control priest that has more focus on lategame with mind controls and shit.

Priest can be built to counter anything with an absurdly high win rate, it is pretty incredible. But you need to know exactly what you're going up against so it makes for a so-so ladder deck experience. Like when Amaz is ranking up he has four variants of Priest he switches between.

Yeah, that Control Warrior is working a lot better for me.

I just never have had it this difficult climbing out of the rank 17ish brackets but for some reason this season has been rough for me. Part of the problem is that there are half meta netdecks and the other half is made up of some completely wild shit that I'm simply not prepared for because it, almost never, sees play. I know if I really buckled down and focused on it a bit more, I'd rank up faster but I've just been too busy to really devote time beyond finishing my daily and maybe a couple of extra games.

I'm pretty impressed with this deck. I was sure the curve was too low to do anything good with it. 4 Truesilvers and 3 Hammers, though. Missing card is an Avenge.

I hope to go 7-0 in arena some day. I'm just not great at building decks yet. Some of my constructed decks are OK, but I'll know I'll get roflstomped once I climb up the ladder a bit more. I don't even know what half the deck style you guys are referring to mean. I've been playing for about two weeks now and I'm hooked. This game is awesome.

That's a great arena curve actually, you generally want it fat in the middle rather than too top heavy. Plus pally tends to have a crowded four slot anyway and four weapons and three hammers is some seriously fuck you asshole stuff.

Finally got a King Krush off of a Webspinner and I killed my opponent without getting a chance to use it. First world problems.

Ended up 12-2 and got 420g and 2 packs. Love it. Only my second 12 win Arena and both have been Paladins. Truesilver champion too strong.

Yeah, I'm sure several of my opponents rage quit. My 11th win came against a Mage where I topdecked hammer into Truesilver for exactly the 7 damage to win. I was ahead anyways, but that was just some cold blooded shit.

I had to go through 5 Mages and 3 Paladins for the dream this time. I only lost to one Mage and never lost to a Paladin. The only Mage to beat me was my first Final Boss and my last Paladin win was the second try to get to 12.

I played that tempo/demon deck against a control warrior earlier. Silenced his initial Armorsmith with an owl and he never recovered.

Woop, managed back-to-back 12-win arena runs last night with shaman and mage. I think over half of my 12-win runs have been playing shaman, and I don't think I've ever had a bad deck playing that class. My deck last night had 4 fire elemental, 3 flametongue totem, 2 lightning bolt, lightning storm, sunwalker, sea giant, molten giant, lava burst, earth shock, hex, bunch of good 2 through 4 drops, etc. I've drafted hunter and rogue decks that didn't have a single card as good as fire elemental, let alone 4 of them.

I've never gotten 2 Fire Elementals in a Shaman draft. In like ~40 Shaman drafts, 5 of which got to 12 wins, half of which had zero Fire Elementals at all.
