Wow, so as I was saying about the Hunter hero ability severely limiting their play style... and then Steamwheedle Sniper is revealed. That's pretty cool. I'd prefer it was like Shadowform though. I am still glad to see they have interacting with hero powers/modifying them on their minds though and are willing to do it. This is good news.

@Fawe, you're an idiot. People make assertions with current cards/meta/current trends. That card wasn't revealed yet and it wasn't looking like the set's theme was heading in a direction that would change anything too much. Obviously now we have this card, but you're retarded to talk with hindsight and act as if people were wrong to say Hunter meta probably won't change after having seen 50+ cards revealed that would do nothing of the sort, and before seeing Sniper. And yet STILL, even with the Sniper, it's still too early to tell and it's still not enough to change the meta entirely, but it's a good start. There will need to be more like it for a big change though.

Sniper is a great card, but it could easily just be a one off, one turn deal with it being on a creature that is so easily removed. It feels a lot like a two card combo similar to Equality/Pyro or Hunter's Mark/Pyro. It's not exactly meta shifting, not just yet. Maybe if it was a permanent spell like Shadowform.

@New Shaman card, "Crackle"... this card annoys me. It's so frustrating when your Lightning Storm goes all wrong, and the variance on this is even larger. You could end up paying twice as much for a Lightning Bolt, or you could end up getting a Lava Burst +1 for nearly half the mana. I hope we see some Shaman healing before this set is done.

A) This is the internet, I have no idea what you're talking about.
B) You must spend a lot of time tuning shit out when you're on the internet.

Speaking ofidiots, the kiddies on Reddit and such are hilarious discussing the new Hunter card. So many of them are complaining about this "buff" to Hunters and flipping out about how Blizzard has a "hard on" for Hunters. Absolute morons. It's the opposite. Steamwheedle Sniper has no place in the current dominant Hunter play style/deck, so it is not a "buff". It's actually pretty clear that Blizzard is trying to get away from the UT meta and the Hunter face play style. But apparently the only player sanctioned way of doing that is just nerfing Hunter or simply creating shit cards for Hunter. They don't seem to understand, that for change to happen with Hunters, Hunters will need a replacement. Because as many of us have discussed before, without UT or whatever FOTM card, Hunter has very little chance at competing. You have to build a replacement for Hunters to move away from or nerf the current Hunter.

The more I contemplate Sniper as well, the less great it seems. It's just too easily dealt with. It's nice, but it's just a one turn, one target gimmick. Sniper + Hunter's Mark will be nice, but there's already plenty of Hunter's mark combos so this doesn't actually add that much. I do like Feign Death + Explosive Sheep though. It's just too bad it doesn't leave behind a body the way SP does. I really do hope we get to see a return to control Hunter, but so far, it's not enough imo.

Any idea when GvG release is set? Jan 1st?

They said Dec 8th at one point, I don't think that can be right though. Isn't a Tuesday.

You'd think they'd give us a release date considering Dec is right around the corner...

Have they explained at all about how packs are going to work? Do the GvG cards come in their own pack or are they mixed into the pack card pool. If the former, will Arena let you choose which pack you get?

Separate pack and all arena packs are GvG. Bought packs you choose experts or GvG, any current saved packs will remain experts so no reason to hoard packs pre expansion.

Alright, that's about how I'd want it. Odd though that a new player could no longer get vanilla cards through arena though.

I'd guess they considered picking your pack to be a little clunky for arena prizes. They have said that they assumed most people would prefer the new cards as arena prizes so that's what they went with. Not sure if the random single card prizes will be GvG or could be from the entire pool. Getting those single cards sucks ass anyway though, albeit I feel like I get more goldens that way but I'm probably imagining things.

Today, at Rank 5 (which I can't break out of), I've played Hand Priest and Hand Paladin. WTF are these people thinking? They are TERRIBLE decks.

No one at 5 is trying to hit legend at this late of date...If you don't hit legend in the first 2 weeks...It just gets toxic in the 4-8 range.

That doesn't seem correct from what I've seen. I want to see some hard numbers on a statement like that.

I would bet the majority get legend towards the middle to the tail end of the season.

Saved up 6k so far. so 60 packs at launch to open.

I agree it's stupid but their philosophy is that people will want the new packs and not the old ones.

Doesn't affect me though. I haven't played Arena in months. Not my style of format.
