So I had a mage daily today (which I feel like I haven't had in ages) and I put together a quick deck. Man, having Ice Block and Alex can be hilarious. Use Alex to burn someone down to half HP if they've been playing super control, or use it on yourself the turn after Ice Block procs for lolnotdeadyet turns. Also, I think mage secret in general give people anxiety.

I've been having worse runs in arena since the patch hit, mostly due to godawful drafts, but I haven't really run into anyone making obvious mistakes. One or two misplays but I usually would have won without them in those cases. Also lost to someone Recombobulating a silenced 3/1 Fen Creeper into a Fel Reaper, of all things. That was pretty annoying.

Mage Secrets are harder to play around and more powerful than any other classes. It isn't a fun combination.

I've had some fun with this template in the past. I've run it different ways depending on what I'm facing or how I feel. Can drop a poly, I've run only four secrets. Usually double counterspell and then some mix of the entity and duplicate. Sylvanas is probably a better choice than Cairne, and you can fuck with that slot depending on what you have or want to use. Blizzard or even another flamestrike if you're meeting a lot of zoo. The harvest golem slot is flexible too.

Got Mal'Ganis in a lock Arena draft today. Only demons that showed up in the entire draft were 2 blood imps which I drafted just to have something.

Used that summon a random minion that costs 3 less card in arena for first time. Got prophet velen... as a mage. Needless to say he conceeded immediately when i dropped that turn 3.

Recombobulator on a Force Tank is pretty much the most op shit. I've done it twice, both after I've already gotten value out of the tank. First time shield got popped killed a minion with it, then turned it into Al'Akir. Second time he a yeti and Ironbark on board, hit tank with face to pop shield. I sapped tree, killed yeti, recombobulator into rag. GG. 8 drops are just fucking dope as shit. There isn't a bad one (well, maybe Gruul, but even then you're getting value).

Watching people carefully prep to kill a shredder and the deathrattle by having 2 damage available (most 2 drops are 2 health) and getting a Doomsayer is the most hilarious shit. Oops, you already attacked with everything this round so there goes your Earth Elemental, Farseer, and all your totems!

Wow, the salt in arena is much worse that constructed. Starting to have multiple runs where people add me and bitch. I just had a match where we were both in top-decking mode. Warrior vs Rogue, I'm at 1 health but of course I have armor. It literally comes down to a coin flip of the 6/6 Ogre hitting me for lethal. It hits my Stormwind instead. He loses next turn. Adds me and says I deserved to lose.... because his card coin flipped in my favor, I guess?

Yup I hate them. They are a pain in the ass to play around and they force you to make bad plays. They also just aren't fun and they aren't even really intrinsically powerful, it's the bad decisions you have to do that make them decent. Fuck them.

Cobalt Guardian into Coghammer can set up quite a nice wall. Hunter opponent wasn't able to break through the continuous Divine Shields after that.

Druid just coined a Micro Machine against me and then kept popping Robo Cubs. That shit gets out of hand so fucking quickly. I was a Paladin with no Truesilvers, no Hammer of Wraths and only one Consecrate. So it was pretty hard to deal with. I still won, but just barely. Micro Machine had done like 20 damage to me by turn 5.

Edit: omg I didn't even see that Soulfire was nerfed. Bahahaha awesome. Still saving my 7 Doomguards, that's next.

Dumb question.

Is Handlock good against Hunters? Or are they just trying to counter the Hunter counter since Priests auto lose to Handlock?

I think hunters are favored in that match up. The warlock can't afford to get as low on health or tap as much as they'd like since they'll get shot in the face continually and the threat of a sudden 10 damage from Kill Command.
