I mean yeah I admit it's hyperbole to call the deck trash, but today isn't the first time I've played Dragon Mage. Maybe it will get a boost from having more options after Tourney, but like I said, conventional echo and ErA's control mage are both better decks, and more consistent.

Kibler's been trying to make dragon decks work ever since BRM and none of them have ever really taken off. I've tried versions of most of them because I really wanted to use the dragon synergies but I'm done. His newest mage doesn't look any better. Really, mage with no fireballs? Thanks, come again.

Closest I've come to viable is a dragon handlock style, pretty much based off StrifeCro's dragon lock mixed with Malylock, minus the maly and soulfires and shit. At least that way you get to include twilight drakes in a paradigm that can use them. Plus with all the big hands and drawing of handlock you tend to never lack activators for the technicians and corrruptors. Still, its not terribly consistent and standard handlock or demonlock is better.

Here's the decklist I used for a bit. Went 28-14 in middle ranks. Its not great but in case anyone wants to play around with a dragon deck for fun, if you know how to play handlock its similar. Go for twilight drakes in your mulligan at all times.

One of the biggest differences in Strife's was the use of Imp Gang Boss where I have the techs. I usually find you get to activate them even on early turns and they trade nicely to get you to your bigger board. He also used only one Argus, which I found to be a huge drawback, and Chromaggus. I tried Chrom, Nef and Ysera and found that despite the cost I got the best value from Ysera. She can sit there activating no matter when you draw her and the deck feels like it gets to very late game a lot so she's also a card generator and win condition. Usually by the time you drop her the opponent has no answers left.

Yeah I've played nomalylock before, it's fun. My ladder grinder of choice atm is actually Dragonhandlock. Basically I just made it greedy as hell so I tend to crush everything that isn't turbo aggro.

Mage without fireball isn't that ridiculous, it's standard in molten echo to leave out fireballs.

Well, I wouldn't enjoy playing that either. I like tempo mage personally, I'd play mech before freeze or molten or echo too, just personal preference for me though. I know they are decent decks.

Shortly after I make a post about how I only lose to turbo aggro, I get matched against a series of turbo aggro decks and lose every match.

That is an excellent priest card. Great card for the inner fire divine spirit deck.

You already had the option of crazed alchemist at the same mana cost, I don't think confuse will make much of a difference.

It'll be good one day if not now. Just get to 30 tough in critters and drop that to win.

Confuse is garbage.

Drop that fucker on a full board of patrons and...concede! Priest lyfe!

That's really short-sighted with cards like the Nerubian Egg and the low cost of the card. It's a great staple card - universal effect, low cost. I'd much rather have stuff like Confuse vs. the joust BS.

I could see Confuse + Lightbomb to take care of things like Ysera, Ancient of War, or really anything with more hp than attack. Only way it could backfire is if your opponent's minions have more attack than hp, but that hardly ever happens.

Uh for Lightbomb it should always be successful unless they're mixing both types together, which is a rarity. Since if they're low HP, high ATK, you just lightbomb without confuse and hold onto it for later.

Well yeah. That's what I meant. If your opponent has like Harrison and Ysera on board, then Confuse + Lightbomb will take care of Ysera and leave a 4/1 Harrison on board, which is a terrible example bc for two cards you'd want to clear the board...

It's not a good card but it's fun and the flavor is decent with some silly combo potential and/or big plays factor.

Could be worse.

I can't imagine there's too many boards that between both cards and your own critters (that are quite likely not surviving) you can piece some proper combination of moves to answer it.

Like how if you've got Equality + Consecration there's not really any bad choices to make barring outlying circumstances like you've got no critters up and they've got divine shielded stuff.

Might prove redundant most of the time (I'm tending to think it would be - but I don't play Lightbomb in my Priest decks) but for what you're talking about extending the reach of Lightbomb it seems to be a perfect combo.

If there was an interest in swapping attack and health, people would be running crazed alchemist. People did experiment with it in priest, myself included, but I haven't seen it since before Naxx. Obviously the fact that it affects the entire board changes things a bit, but not enough that I see it being good for anything.
