The rng has kinda killed my will to play this game seriously anymore, I probably won 7/10 of my last games with each loss being to some random event, like I would have won a 20 minute priest vs priest game if he had gotten any card besides ysera awakens from a ysera. I got what turned into a miracle win against hunter that was a blowout because he got doomsayer off of a shredder. He was 1 damage off lethal as hunter 3 turns in a row and didn't get it.

So now I just play whatever I feel like putting together to complete quests.

I've been struggling to log into this game as well. I still like it but the hold it had over me last year is starting to wane and yeah, the amount of randomness is a bitt too much for me. I think I fundamentally don't like cards like Unstable Portal.

Yeah, it's getting boring.

I play ladder to get the new card back.

Then do dailies in casual with gimmick decks, or non-standard decks that are just a lot of fun to play, although maybe not as efficient.

You do get more variety in casual.

I didn't really feel this way early on in GvG when everyone else was complaining about it. But yeah the RNG has blown out of proportion now. I can see how it can kill a lot of competitive players' will to keep at it, but for the rank and file its probably created a lot of fun unexpected events too.

Not so fun fact that I haven't heard before and just found out the hard way. If you attack with a mistress of pain w/ auchenai on the board you basically lose the game because it deals 30 points of damage to you, I don't know why it triggers 30x, but it does trigger 30x, because it not only killed me, but brought me to -3 and the only damage I took was a hellfire.

Sounds like the code is registering damage from them mistress as a heal to you even though Auchenai is converting it to dmg, the net result being a recursive loop which kills you?

Each time the mistress does damage, it heals you for the damage dealt. The heal is instead damage mistress is doing. So it deals damage. Because it deals damage, it heals you, which is damage, because it does damage, it heals you, etc.

I actually lethaled someone in constructed with this once. Forced them to steal my Auchenai with their Sylvanas and then hit their Mistress of pain.

Lol, working on golden priest and I can certainly feel the ppl wanting to punch me through the screen sometimes when it all goes right.

if someone starts rope burning I just play out my turn and rope burn them right back. Can tell when it gets under there skin and don't concede, which in turn makes them play like shit. fairly funny actually
