I don't think he necessarily needs to be in a Dragon themed deck. Like I said, if there were a few more good Azure Drake type cards, he could be decent alongside them. Faerie Dragon counts, Azure Drake counts, Twilight Drake counts.

I'm not sure what you think constitutes a "dragon-themed" deck, but he absolutely has to be in one.

I can see him being used in Handlock. Synergizes with Alexstrasza and Twilight Drake, not too worried about it trading, as you have more 8/8s in your arsenal than any other deck.

seriously, I don't think handlock needs him or will use him. 3 cards of 30 will synergize and you need him + one of those in your hand at the same time. Chances of ever getting off his battlecry are so slim when you need it. Handlock has superior removal already with shadowflame and siphon

Also, you want to rush out the Twilights early, usually, so holding them for this guy works against what you should do. Just makes him more of a dead card.

If you removed the restriction on his battlecry and kept his other stats the same I'm not sure he'd even see consistent play. He's just poorly designed as-is unless we're missing some super secret leet beta infos.

Yeah, although Reddit/The Community has been bad at predicting which cards will be strong in the meta.... Rend makes much more sense. There are just too many conditions to meet to get value out of him. When an actual removal card (Assassinate, Siphon, etc) would just remove the legendary regardless.

But since this adventure might release cards that will reinvigorate the currently dead Dragon Cards who knows.

Haven't opened in a pack from the arena with a card I don't already have in the last 15 or so tries. How can they justify only giving GvG packs at this point when it's such a smaller collection of cards than classics? Chalk me up as a frustrated customer that has stopped forking over real money and play considerably less than I did. I think I'm done with Arena now that it doesn't actually ever reward me with anything useful. Ever. Guess I'll just grind out some dailies and purchase the first couple wings of BRM with gold instead of dollars. GG Blizzard.

Seems better to buy the adventure packs instead of unlocking them with gold. 3500 gold is just shy of 50 bucks worth of booster packs.

They've revealed 12 of 31 cards so far, I wouldn't write BRM off just yet.

Also I didn't see this posted here. Potentially a lot of value but I imagine after experimenting with it nobody will run it. Looks good for arena at least.

I'm sure the set will prove to be fine. Really, it would take some bonkers power creep for this adventure pack to be as high powered in relation to the existing card pool as Naxx was to the core game. I'm mostly glad it doesn't look like the entire thing is gas.

Core Rager is definitely going to be included, at least a one-of, in some decks. Dark Iron Skulker likewise. Everything else so far is looking super niche but we'll see.

Just like Naxx (which I'm sure is their intent). I pre-ordered it today, looking forward to it.
