Speaking of patron warrior that just reminded me, I saw commanding shout used in a game yesterday. It works well in patron warrior, preventing them from dying so it summons another warrior, if you played warsong the same turn you can do this until your board is full as long as you have something to run them into; and then you can use battle rage and draw all the cards.

Tinkering around with Dragon Paladin in anticipation of trying out Chromaggus next week, and my first 3 matchups were against...Dragon Paladin. Lost all 3 too, the first two were just genuinely bullshit draws (the first retard was running Rend which curved perfectly into my consort boosted Ysera) but the second one made me decide to go back to the drawing board.

I'm thinking it may end up being a tournament deck that isn't really viable for the ladder though.

The only thing that matters for your rewards is your wins, not your losses. a 12-0 is the same as a 12-2, and a 0-0 is the same as a 0-3.

Went from 8 - 5 tonight and didn't see a single Patron warrior, is midrange hunter/paladin/druid that good against them or something? They were by far the most common classes I saw tonight.

Patron warrior is okay but not reliable. So much shit can go wrong very fast. I think people just grew accustomed to expecting it and dealing with it now.

  • Any minion over 2 attack basically stops the combo unless the warrior has a really good (lucky) hand.
  • Very reliant on drawing warsong commander.
  • The combo only fills the board with 3/1 - 3/3s and only does 3-5 damage to the face typically on the 1st play.
  • AoE removal isn't even necessary, just kill the warsong commander then pick off the higher health patrons to extinguish the combo.
  • Only really works if warrior is able to warsong+frothing after doing warsong+patron. That's a lot of stuff that needs to happen to be able to succeed.

I've lost to patron warrior for sure but usually only when they have a very lucky hand where they can buff up a frothing berseker to be able to OTK me. Relying on a single card (warsong commander) will always make it a very unreliable strategy for ranking up.

I dunno, I've had lots of success with the Patron Warrior that was posted a few pages back. Plenty of different win conditions if you play it right. With 2 whirlwinds in your deck, midrange paladin is usually cake.
