Eh, the GvG reveals were slow too. Still got probably 3 weeks or so before the xpac drops, I'm not worried. At the very least, I'm sure there will be new competitive ladder decks, even if very little is considered good enough to fight for spots in existing decks.
Sooo, they put in the Ragnaros vs Nefarian brawl, then pushed out an update changing it to all unstable portals?

Maybe, but up until now, they haven't treated arena that well. It's expensive to get really good at arena. None of your golden cards display there, none of your wins count towards portrait. Tavern Brawl acts as a talent drain on the overall pool, making it harder to break even per run.
You play constructed to get gold to get more cards to get better decks to play more constructed. You play arena to...get expensive packs for constructed?
Also, I got Ragnaros 4x in a row and lost every time, then I get nefarian and the other guy insta-concedes /golfclap design team. Oh and those 4 games I got to use the 8dmg to random enemy 6 times. Currently 1-5 for Rag bombs not hitting face.

My girlfriend is still only seeing Rag/Nef on her Europe account, even after relogging. Must not be fixed on EU yet? The next time Rag/Nef does roll around, expect a proper 100g/day gold farm, because more people will be aware of the imbalance and just auto concede as Rag. It'll just be people farming gold off one another 9 out of 10 games.
I've played 5 games in a row and gone first every single time. I don't think I've ever had 5 in a row like that. Luckily I've won all 5 thanks to amazing rolls, but I feel like coin has a big advantage here.

Incidentally this is false. Played both, got one pack. Makes sense, its for the first brawl you win each week.

Reddit posters lied! More than 1 person claimed to get 2 packs so idk, just relayed what I read. NA server never got the Rag/Nef version I think. Blizzard posted saying they were working to fix the issue btw. I guess it is only glitched on Euro server?

Really? He posted a solid tempo with Echo, thaurissan, arcane ints a month ago that has been killing it for me. Got to rank 5 which is a personal best. I can share if you want. My main issue with my past tempo deck was that when you ran out of cards you were done. With all the card draw and explosive plays, the comeback potential is real and no one really expects it.

I think people are condemning the set a bit too early too. From just what's been spoiled so far, Clockwork Knight and Frost Giant would both be fighting for space in existing decks. Garrison Commander doesn't really fit into any existing decks, but is still an objectively powerful card. Lock and Load doesn't fit into existing Hunter decks, but you can easily tweak them to be a bit more spell heavy and still be viable. Fallen Hero is a fantastic 2 drop and will be fighting Sorcerer's Apprentice for a spot in both versions of Tempo Mage. The new shaman stuff at least shakes up the class and brings back the possibility of midrange shaman being a thing again.
Holy Champion, Silver Hand Regent, Nexus-Champion Saraad, and Justicar Trueheart are all right on the cusp of being playable.
If anything, this set is already looking stronger than GvG and we're only 29 cards in.

Played twice. Won my second game with some crazy insane draws from the portals. Way to much rng for this weeks brawl to be enjoyable.

Maybe, I got Nef/Rag on NA but was still logged in. Logged out to switch accounts and got the client updating and when I logged in it was portals. Went back to first account and played portals but no second pack.

Edit: I ended up managing to heal over 50 that game with the totem and the well after I killed soulpriest and then 2 healbots after that. Then his Velen healed for 16. Still won though, was just crazy. Went from 4 life at one point up to 30 life with some armor.
