Lol omfg... talk about that "next fix". This game was insane. He got a Nat Pagle from a Shredder like 7 turns previous after I cast Elemental Destruction on an empty board vs his Shredder, Spellslinger & Silver Hand Knight. Pagle drew him like 6 cards and I thought I might be able to get a fatigue win, since this Shaman deck literally only has 2 minions with 6+ mana (a Kraken and a Fire Elemental). Then he casts a Spellslinger and I get Corruption vs his Confuse, I corruption the Sunwalker and then pass the turn. He spends the entire turn thinking and I am wondering if he has a Fireball & is just trolling me... the rope starts to burn and he casts Confuse and I confidently think I've won, and then SHIT I'm counting as fast as I can and see that he has exact lethal after casting the Confuse and I am panicking on whether he will have time to attack with everything or not before the rope burns.... Whelp, I won. I guess he wasn't as good at counting rofl.
So that "hit" will last me another 20 minutes while I fervently try to find my next fix and fuck up my "veins" in the meantime...
And Crone, it depends on what your expectations are and how you want to play the game. My gf started a little over 2 months ago and she's been around rank 13 for the last 2 months. She has bought 2 packs with RL money and owns Naxx and that's it. She plays every day, although I'm not sure that's a good thing, because she seems to get pissed off at the game just as much as I do. I don't think her pleasure is greater than her pain haha. But, she keeps playing, so whatever that means... So yeah, with Naxx you can get in the low teens, but don't expect much more. If you don't enjoy slowly building your collection and enjoy that for its own intrinsic reasons, I'd say you should stop playing before you become an addict like the rest of us. Don't try arena unless you are naturally very good at these games and you study up and/or spend RL cash to learn.
