Burned cards shouldn't get ressed. A burned card doesn't die, deathrattles don't trigger, etc. Anyfin says to res 7 murlocs that died this game. It's inconsistent. I still don't believe it works like that. Make a video of it pls.

Milled cards in Magic go to the graveyard, I don't understand what your complaint is here.
I guess it is consistent in a way if milling into a full hand triggers deathrattles, but the wording seems vague at best for the players IMO. Just doesn't seem like a discarded card should be considered a minion that "died this game".

But a bounced minion with deathrattle (vanished into a full hand, etc) is different since it actually entered the field of play and was then destroyed. The milled cards were never minions per se, they were cards that were never played. This would be like saying milled deathrattle cards should trigger the deathrattle when the card is destroyed from the deck.

Magic has cards that function exactly like deathrattle (X happens if this creature dies), and they have to be in play too. There is no inconsistency here because Hearthstone doesn't reference the graveyard. If Anyfin was a Magic card, it would say something like 'Return the top 7 Murlocs from your graveyard to the battlefield'. The only actual difference between the way Anyfin works in Hearthstone and the way it would work in Magic is that reanimation spells in Magic literally bring the card itself back into play, whereas Anyfin is creating brand new Murlocs from scratch.

Hell I won a game on the ladder once because I set my opponent up to overdraw me via acolyte and he burned murkeye which made my anyfin lethal. Reanimator decks work on a similar principle in Magic, where you either dredge (self mill) or play cards that make you discard to get your big creature into the graveyard so that you can cheat it into play with a reanimation spell.

Yeah, I've never really thought much about the HS mechanic since it does mirror the M:TG functionality. I suppose it is a little odd but only a little to me.

Perhaps it is just the implied (to my thinking) effect of overdraw being: "send to graveyard". In HS a card can only go to your hand/GY/field or your opponent's hand/GY/field. There's no exile so there we are. It certainly does make for some weird interactions, as that video and a few others point out, but the anyfin one seems correct as intended to me.

Still, you are quite right that mill decks aren't something Blizzard wants to encourage anyhow since they consider them to be anti-fun. This might be intentional in other words but I kinda doubt it.

That should have been a Shaman card, it would be so much better.

Got golden Arcane Blast from my boxes, pretty nice as I'd been contemplating crafting it for quite some time. My only golden deck is Tempo Mage, and I've wanted that in it but didn't want to waste 1600 dust

Well I now have a playset of golden lightbombs which I'm pretty happy about even if they're about to rotate out.

Is that the first April Fools card?
Yea I thought it was April Fools, but it's real. I mean like... without Quartermaster it doesn't matter if your dudes become murlocs and if you tech in Warleaders then you can get some 3/3 dudes for favorable trades, but it won't work since Justicar won't let you summon 2 at a time and there's no easy way to get multiple 1/1 murlocs at a time. The 5 dudes spell won't summon murlocs either.

It's a bad card.

I don't like the 1/3 stats either. Most good 1 drops can trade with 2 health 2 drops, like Abusive is 2/1 for example. A 1/3 loses to all good 2-drops, only trading evenly to 2/2's.
3/2 and 2/3s will win the trade every time.

Except a 1/3 trades favorably with every single played one drop. That's why 1/3s for 1 are amazing and a big part of why people were so excited about Sir Finley at first. For standard it might be viable. Yeah you're giving up on being able to use Justicar, but being able to respond to 1 drops immediately is pretty handy, especially with Zombie Chow rotating out. Could also run a warleader or two as a pseudo Quartermaster for when you get a couple tokens to stick. It will definitely be worth experimenting with.

You could still run Justicar, worst case your hero power just wouldn't spawn murlocs anymore right?
