I've never seen anyone run 2 bash and 2 shield block. Don't think 2 acolyte is standard any longer either, its 1 or none, and its far better than monkey; only reason to run monkey over ghoul would be if you're doing bolster shenanigans.

Lose to a face hunter because 3 33% missles all went face, just hearthstone things.

I run double bash/double block/no acolyte and that's the list that finally broke my back and forth deadlock at the end of last season for an unbroken win streak from 10 to 5.

That Astral Druid deck is dogcrap. I had a Druid quest...Thought I'd try it. Just bleh...Sure, its fun to shit out gigantic monsters, but that simply isn't enough...And even aggressive mulligans don't mean you get an early astral.

It's not consistent for sure, like I said, 50% win rate, that's pretty bad cause you can't get streaks going too easily.

But it's really fun and I've won without drawing astral at all. Nourish is your 2nd way to ramp up quickly.

My 2 worst losses happened back-to-back where I needed Master Jouster to win the Joust and he pulls Loot Hoarder. Literally every minion is 5+ except 2 and he pulls the 2 drop. The 2nd time he did it I already had a hoarder in my hand, so even less chance but.. yea. To top it off, enemy minion both times was also a 2-drop.

I definitely would have won both games if he triggered his taunt because I had heals/taunts/clears ready for subsequent turns. Both losses are where I didn't draw Astal and needed the 6 drop to hold off some of the opposing board.

I had a really sweet win against Face Hunter where I used Raven Idol at 1 health and pulled Tree of Life and he had 0 cards left in hand and only 3 damage on board.

It doesn't HAVE to be turn eight, if you have any leftover patrons from a turn before you play this and spawn more while damaging your enemy's dudes AND throwing a decent stat body on board. Also combos well (and cheaper if you want to look at it as a single turn) with Berserker.
I don't play patron post-nerf but I feel like no Death's Bite will have a very negative impact on the deck. It will now be impossible to get 4+ patrons on 5 mana on an empty board. Max will be 3 using 2 inner rage.

You'll need to wait till 6 mana with a Whirlwind to get those 4 patrons. I think waiting that extra turn is going to be huge.

That said, it won't be often where there are "leftover patrons" for you to use this guy with. If there are then you probably already won.

Also losing Ghoul is yet another pre-5 whirlwind setup that you won't have access to. Playing Ghoul was a great way to force more patrons or bigger frothings and also served the purpose of protecting those minions too.

So you're replacing Unstable Ghoul and Death's Bite with Tentacle of N'zoth and Ravaging Ghoul... definitely terrible replacements and hard to see Patron flourishing with such weak replacements.

Nice card. 5 mana worth of cards for 4 mana.

It's either a 3 drop + 2 drop for 5/5 on 4 mana
Or it's a wild growth + 3 drop.

Helps ramp/tempo/token decks, very versatile.

Other 4 drops it might compete for a slot with (Standard):
Yeti
Argus
Keeper of the Grove
Swipe
Savage Combatant
Violet Teacher

Honestly not much competition. This is probably an auto-include card for future decks.

Keeper is one of the rumored nerf targets. I'm on the fence about that card. A 3/3 and a 2/2 is a lot different from a 4/5, and the wild growth effect is a lot less useful after turn 2, since druid decks are mainly built around skipping your 3 drop. Still, the fact that it doesn't go away if the creature dies makes it worth consideration.

Shaman weapon: 5 Mana, 4/2, Deathrattle: Summon a 4/2 Elemental.

I think it's kinda decent. Doomhammer doesn't fit a control shaman too well, and also overload makes it very expensive, but of course it's great in Aggro Shaman.
This new weapon would suit a control/tempo deck better.

Problem is Shaman aren't built to be face tanking too many minions. No consistent heal/armor to counter the damage.

Other 5 drops to compete with it:

Doomhammer
Bloodlust
Azure Drake
Earth Elemental
Thunder Bluff Valiant
Kodo
Nexus Champion Saraad
Harrison Jones

Not many 5 drop options. Azure Drakes are a no-brainer in shaman, the rest is all situational / tech

I can see 1 of this in a control deck but not 2

edit:

Also for 5 drops, the new Shaman Legendary is a 5 drop and only 1 neutral 5 drop has been revealed thus far, and it sucks (corrupted healbot).
Sure to be more to come.

I guess we'll see, at least there could be some new shaman archetypes, maybe one will actually stick this time. I'm mostly just hyped on Master of Evolution.

IDK, if it was thee mana with two overload it might actually look a lot better. I've thought that the best thing they could do with overload is make more cards/mechanics that interact with your overloaded crystals somehow. Lava Shock was something, but that's only one card.

Yeah, new shaman weapon seems like it would be pretty decent in arena, but thats it.

So I'm a total newb at hearthstone, been playing what they call classic I guess. What should be the first expansion I buy or whatever they call it.

Also how do you track your win/loss rate?
