The Misdirection/Weapon argument was some classic card-flopping neckbeard action. Makes me miss running MtG tourneys.

12-1 Mage deck. 375g, 2 packs, 20 dust. Probably could have gone 12-0 but I fucked up a game at 11-0

Some annoying little shit of a "friend" that added me after a game and is always complaining about everything is using auto click now 24/7 in Play Mode with a deck full of taunters that just drops minions and sits there and makes the opponent wait a total of 30 minutes if they want to win to farm gold while he sleeps. He makes about 100 gold every 6-8 hours. Pretty horrible, but he's still making the max gold per day while not playing, which means others will/are doing it. It's one thing to Glide in WoW or whatever where there's not really any victims, but in HS where it totally ruins the gameplay of your opponent, it's just lame.

In other news I'm running a Crazed Alchemist in every deck (sometimes 2 for certain classes) and am totally in love with him. I've always liked him and thought he was underrated, but now actually playing him I love him. He's like a cheap version of Tinkmaster Overspark.

If he is doing that shit in ranked I hope he steps on a lego, if its just casual, meh. Still, this is why I said we need some kind of report function, too many reports of taking maximum turn time every turn should result in a temp ban and eventually permanent, say like the 3rd time they are disciplined for it.

What I thought they should do is have a scaling system for maximum time. You get X seconds per turn and if you go to max or close to max you get X - Y seconds the turn after and so on and so forth. If you play faster on following turns it refreshes and if you keep playing like molasses your turns are much, much shorter.

They seem to - ran into an opponent who was AFK all match, after timing out the first two turns it started with fuse as soon as it started his turn.

This will only happen if they don't do anything. If they take an action it resets their timer. It's purely an AFK timer, if they are completely afk they get short turns. Something like the guy mentioned above where it auto drops taunts won't get short turns, even if he never ends his turn.

Glad I go 12-0 and I get a rare in one box, a common in another, a golden rare in another, and 225 gold, and 1 pack. The prize disparity/RNG is so annoying. I keep getting such shit. In other news I just faced a druid with 5 swipes in his first 12 cards. Sweeeeeet.

Got "Total Domination" for the first time today, ended up ranking up to 7 finishing it. Before promptly switching decks and deranking.

You can tell that today is the last day of the season because ranked is nothing but Aggro "TO THE FACE" decks. People who couldn't get to Legend before think they can play an aggro deck and get there in less than 24 hours I guess...

If I'd realized that we had all of today left in the season, I probably could have made the grind to legendary. Not that it matters since there isn't much incentive for ranked atm and I'll just do it next season.

I am bad at arena and I do not understand why. Give pro tips, please.
AntiGrav1tys Arena Draft Tiers v2.1 || www.twitch.tv/antigrav1ty

That's a good place to start. Once you get more familiar with arena deck construction, the spreadsheet will end up being more like guidelines instead of actual rules for drafting. Like I had a bad tendency to choke my deck on 4-5 drops because the spreadsheet said those were the best cards. Then I realized sometimes you have to take the objectively weaker card so that your mana curve doesn't look more like a mana cliff.

*edit*

Also, unless you get a remarkably consistent draft, every deck in arena is striving to be some sort of control deck. Which means to say you will typically be fighting for board control and rarely ever just trying to burn your opponent down.

General hierarchy (imo) is as follows

Removal is the most important element of an arena deck, especially removal that can double as damage to the opponent. You can win with less than ideal creatures if you luck into a solid removal suite

Solid creatures are the second most important element of an arena deck. Most of the creatures that are good in constructed are good in arena.

Card draw is the last important element of arena deck construction. You typically want some kind of card draw, but you don't want to sacrifice a solid creature or removal spell for it.

I'd also say with arena that it depends on what your goal is.

If you are happy with 3-5 wins no matter what, just load up on 2-3 drops and it almost doesn't matter which ones you pick. If you can get together an actual reasonably good aggro deck then of course you can often go further.

To get 8+ wins I find that my curve is the most important thing (in that it needs to fit what my deck is doing) and then I either need just plain strong value creatures or at least a few decent synergies.

That said, this last week I've been able to play just about anything and get somewhat lucky. I mean, I had a deck with shit options that *might* have gone 2 wins two weeks ago pick up 9 just last night. It had seriously nothing going for it at all but enough of my opposition had apparently never played the game that I was able to get that many wins. Any decent player wiped the floor with me on that one though. Hard to lose to people that coin into 'whoops' or flamestrike two 2/1s though.
