He already used it earlier. Boy would my face have been red if he ran 2 in his deck. Except I would have had 2 earth elementals at minimum even after the brawl.

Paladin is fun to use but Hunter has just been pure rape to use to the extent it feels like cheating.

So it happened again this morning in ranked.

only common variables is that I'm playing a hunter, and it's always against a mage.

Played an explosive trap, trap card gets sent back to my hand. no question mark on my hero. Opponent plays against me, and trap goes off while I still have the duplicate trap in my hand to play for next round.

I made a deck with 28 taunts in it once. Biggest problem was the lack of card draw but when it worked it was beautiful. I can just imagine how frustrating it must be for the other player to see taunt after taunt go down and never be able to hit the face.

My current deck that I play just for fun is, ironically enough, called "No Fun." It's a variant of the Priest deck I threw together many pages back. It's loaded with all of the normal Priest anti-fun cards you can think of: Mind Vision, Thoughtsteal, Shadow Madness, Cabal Shadow Priest and so on. The neutrals are mostly taunters with a couple of Defenders of Argus and Nat Pagle thrown in. I currently have two Mogu'Shan Wardens in it because nothing says "fuck you" like a 1/7 Taunter but really thinking of swapping those out for Tinkmaster and Ragnaros (two cards which most casual F2P players absolutely hate).

Part of the strategy of the deck revolves around playing mind games with your opponent. I assume by turn 3 or 4 that I've been squelched but that doesn't matter. Any time you steal a card, you always use the "Thank You" emote. Also make liberal use of "Threaten" and "Well Played." Like I said, it's about the most "anti-fun" deck I can think of and it's designed more to showcase just how "not fun" Priests are as opponents than anything else. I know they're not OP (not even close really) but they really are not fun to play against at all.

RNG definitely being weird this morning - knocking out my quests just because got the 7 win one and doing Basic Rogue Practice just to knock it out super quick and every single one of the matches so far since I noticed it (and on the 7th) turn 3 for the CPU has been double Deadly Poison (on his 1/1 knife, it's such a terrible play stupid AI) - so weird to see that same circumstance repeat seven times in a row. (Well to be fair, maybe it didn't the first one or two - once I noted it as an oddly terrible AI play while mixing up turns with Lightning Returns was Game 3 and after that 4/5/6/7 absolutely did)

Finally went 5/3(my best yet) and weird part is I pulled zero spells except some secrets, not a single fireball or arcane bolt or anything

Are the AIs random? I actually thought that they were scripted when I grinded on them months ago to get every class to 10

That would explain it, I don't do them really every outside of the 7 win quest - thought only the tutorial ones were, but I could be wrong.

Today I have the daily to cast 40 spells. So just to get it out of the way, I run a mage deck with 30 spells. I match up against a paladin, and I'm just dumping spells as much as I can, intending to concede when my hand runs out. I'm doing stupid stuff just to finish the quest, like using blizzard on a single 3/3, etc. Later, turn 9 (he's still at full life) he makes a token and passes. I polymorph his 1/1, then fireball it, then mirror image, and as I'm going to hit concede since my hand is finally empty, I get "Your opponent has left". I was confused.

I don't get this at all. I don't find mindvision or thoughtsteal particularly annoying at all. The only thing I find annoying is when a card is obviously OP, which those cards are not.

They're just difficult to plan for I think is why they annoy people. Especially thought steal. Sucks when say you need a pyro to finish the Priest off but you've not found it then he flings it at you from a TS.

I have this irrational perception that Priest players throw together a deck without regard to how crappy it really is because their goal is to simply use their opponent's deck against them. Like I said, their cards aren't OP but it's not fun to be playing against a Priest and dealing with Fireballs, Arcanite Reapers, Taunt Trees and so on. And while I never expect a minion to survive long in this game, it really sucks to have your own minions, constantly, being used against you. Play a Harvest Golem? Priest can Shadow Madness it, ram it into one of your own creates killing that creature and the Golem and it's the Priest who gets the 2/1. Cabal Shadow Priest is even worse. It's a Yeti with permanent mind control built in (yes it can only steal a 2 attack or less minion but I was using them to steal those Gurubashi Berserkers played against me).

Priests also dominate Control decks pretty hard. Playing a Druid, it's nearly impossible to beat a Priest. However, they're really vulnerable to rush down decks. So they're actually pretty balanced. I just don't find them fun to play against at all. I feel I'm playing against my own deck and they just have a lot of mechanics designed to annoy.

I think that's a fairly rational perception, a lot of people pick the priests with the thoughtsteals and the mind visions because they don't have many great cards and ranked and casual is full of people with the best cards in the game. What's a bit irrational is how bothered you seem to be by it.

I already run alchemists but now I'm definitely tossing divine spirits in. That video had me cracking up.
