I agree that ranked is basically zoo and hunter, I would guess at least 70% in my experience. Hopefully the naxx cards breathes new life into the game because it's literally the same decks all the time. You never see fun or gimmicky decks in ranked anymore.

Just won 7 in a row with this and using your suggestions.They look something like this -
I personally still use Explosive Trap instead of Flare because of all the Zoo, I don't own a Mukla so that's a Tundra Rhino, and I'm using a Dire Wolf Alpha instead of an Owl. Without all the reactive traps and bow you get to put much more pressure on the slower decks and then bust them open with Highmane while still having the full Unleash shell.

It feels like a good deck versus everything I was seeing (and losing to) before. The only real difference from what I was running and what I was seeing people run was the Explosive Traps. There's just so damned much Zoo that I feel they are mandatory on ladder right now.
What I'm very interested in seeing is how the format moves around now that the older Druid and Warrior control decks have a much harder match up to deal with.

When this train finally comes off the tracks I might put Leeroy in place of Tundra Rhino but for now I ain't messing with a 7-0 deck! =) Time to go make it 8-0.

I went from rank 20 to rank 8 this season in only a few days playing a token druid, finally had enough cards to do it. But I am also getting sick of Hunter/Warlock zoo almost every game. I'm gonna try out a variation of a yolo mage deck I saw posted on Reddit the other day, runs a bunch of charging minions, with fireballs, frostbolts, ice lances, for huge burst dmg to finish off games.

Went from rank 10 to 19 today. I have lost every single game. I don't get it. RNG is killing me. In all of those games I have not had a buzzard UTH combo or a Leeroy UTH combo. Pathetic. Strategy is a significant part of this game, but luck edges out for me. My real life black cloud has seeped in. =/

The majority of the time, when I've looked back on streaks like this, I've found I was making bad mulligans. ymmv
I had one game where I missed lethal, lost it and then proceeded to lose 2 ranks. Probably just playing bad... easy to take a break.

Arena is infuriating me. I've gone like 11-1 in ranked lately, but Arenas have been like 2-3, 0-3, 0-3. What the fuck?

UTH used to be "unplayable" for a long time since the change though, since it was what, 4mana or some shit originally? It became good when it dropped down in mana cost to a point where you could use it with buzzard relatively early. Always the same issue though, if you nerf this, people will just move on to another easy to play rush deck.
