Just had a paladin with a truesilver attack into my face when I had explosive trap, misdirection, and bow out. Shit took FOREVER to resolve.

Now when we say "cancer hunter" is it a specific deck, or just a general term for the aggro/madsci decks that have survived the buzzard nerf?

I'm not sure I like the new card because of Hunters. One of their weaknesses is a lack of healing. Currently they're an all or nothing type class. They burst you down really fast or they die. This gives them some easy healing which is going to make killing them a lot tougher.

And, yes, UT needs a nerf. It's in 95% of all decks and it's simply too good for the cost.

IMO, it is a specific type of Hunter deck. It is the straight Undertaker -> Face deck. It runs one and sometimes none Houndmaster, and nothing else is above 3 mana cost. So, not the Highmane versions. At least, that's what I understand it to mean.

No clue what version of hunter is being called cancer. I'm running full on face hunter with double owl, wolf riders, and arcane golems. Feels like I'm heavily favored in the hunter mirror because I win the burst battle.

What hunters would ever run a 2/4 for 3 that doesn't help you damage your opponent? The only place where I might consider it is a hunter mirror, and even then the answer is better burst, not an inefficient creature that might bring some healing.

Just played 4 Hunter v Hunter games with Bisi. He ran a Highmane and out-rushed me 3-1. So I guess that invalidates what I said about cancer not being able to play Highmanes!

Aggro (face) hunters typically take a lot of cards that will always get their damage to push down to the hero power turn countdown as fast as possible. That style prioritizes chargers, things like abusive sergeants and leper gnomes that always get their damage in, and removal that can still hit face like explosive traps and kill commands. That deck runs mad scientists as a tempo play still, though.

The "cancer" deck is a deathrattle, early-mid game control that uses undertakers with the standard deathrattle suite that also synergizes well with webspinners, mad scientists, and savannah highmanes. This deck also stresses minion efficiency with cards like huntmaster, haunted creepers, etc. It fits the same tempo/curve as zoo basically. Tries to set up an early game tempo advantage with just enough powerful minions and synergy to carry through mid game and win there. If it goes late the opponent is probably low enough the hero power counter can still start the turn countdown against most classes.

Here's my facehunter deck. I, like every other aggro deck, still use Undertakers because only a retard plays an aggro deck without Undertaker. Think I'm running about an 80% win rate in the mirror match, I've really been crushing.

That deck is everything that is wrong with Hearthstone...

If you aren't going to run unleash or snake trap then you might as well swap the knife jugglers for two loot hoarders for a couple cards of draw and more deathrattles. Or drop them both for double unleash.

Yeah I copied the list somewhere and then cut double unleash for a second flare and a second owl. They have been underperforming, but I'm gold capped for the day so I'll cut them tomorrow.

Fuck it.. guess i'm gonna have to hop on the hunter train... made it from rank 19 to rank 7 in 2 days playing Shaman and Handlock... SOMEHOW, guess I dodged a lot of hunters, but now it's all i'm facing and those decks get wrecked by hunter. Maybe try a priest deck first to try and counter..

Also here is some unreleased Card art that is floating around for the new expansion, don't click if you don't want to be spoiled.

Those pics of what I assume are legendaries have me excited!

Also, shaman isn't bad against hunter in the post-buzzard nerf meta. It's bad against turbo face hunter like the list I posted, but that's a very uncommon variant, I haven't run into a single other hunter playing a super fast straight to the face deck. Against the more typical mid-range aggro hunters, shaman does ok.

Shaman can really fuck with hunter, your best chances are being able to knife juggler/unleash and use the bow to clear those damn wolves. Unleash in general is pretty good to keep against shaman since they flood the board almost by default.

I tend to run a single flare and a single mark instead of two flares. Double flare is obviously clutch in the mirror and against mages, but it can end up a dead card as well so splitting the difference can be nice when that mark saves your ass against other decks. Mark in an aggro hunter deck running knife jugglers, snake trap and unleash can be pretty useful too.

I've only run into three Mages on ladder this whole season, so they aren't terribly common. I'm experimenting with a primarily trap focused deck (8 secrets, Captain Greenskin, only 8 Deathrattles). So far it is 3-0 at rank 4. I actually played Applejacked with it last night. I got a Captain's Parrot off of a Webspinner to draw my Greenskin. I hope only running one Flare is really common right now.

And Shaman has always been good vs Hunter, even the Buzzard version, you just need to play the match-up correctly. What was that tournament, I think it was Firebat picked Shaman to counter Hunter every match and people thought he was crazy. He didn't drop a single match to Hunter with his Shaman. Just have to play the match-up correctly. Current Hunters run out of stream really fast, best thing you can Earthshock is the Loot Hoarders. Keep clearing the board and throwing up taunts. Save your burst unless you absolutely need it to clear.
