I love Neptulon. And I no longer love flame leviathan - didn't realize it was mage only.
Neptulon is great. Amazing card advantage. Shaman Murloc was already a thing and already decent, so I think it has a chance to be really good now.

I really think Troggzor is the stand out card from today's release:

10416651_823437881032315_2760187865904755607_n.jpg

which gives you one of these fucking things every time they play a spell:

good luck playing your piddly little spare parts or gazlowe now.

Yea I like him, dodges BGH, cost-toughness ratio isn't awful (loses one from boulderfist) and his ability is plenty relevant.

Just fooling around atm, but Im most looking forward to a druid deck so I created this atm:
Super Ramp Druid - Hearthstone Decks

rrr_img_83927.jpg

Goal:
Survive to be able to play lots of big late-game minions.

Ramp Up Tools:
Innervate / Wild Growth / Grove Tender
Grove Tender: Intended use is to gain a mana crystal early game then use the 2/4 body to soak up damage from aggro decks. Opponent also gains mana crystal but I'm banking on the fact this deck has a better late game. In a pinch can be used to draw a card but I would consider that a last resort.
Recombobulator:
I feel like this card has a lot of strengths here. It can be played early to stave off aggro damage but if that's not necessary then there are unlimited uses for this little guy.
There are many minions that have a battlecry or affect which you could then recombobulate after taking advantage of those affects.
  • Keeper of the Grove
  • Loatheb
  • The Black Knight
  • Ancient of Lore
  • Any Silenced Legendary

The following legendaries have been selected due to how annoying they will be to remove and their big affects:

Malorne:
This guy is the ultimate late game minion. He has to be silenced or transformed otherwise he keeps coming back!
Troggzor the Earthinator:
This guy must be removed with minions unless your foe intends to face an army of Troggs!
Sneed's Old Shredder:
This guy requires a silence or transform or your opponent is taking a huge risk!
Ysera:
Kinda boring but keeps the end game going with more card draw.

The following legendaries have been selected for keeping control:
Sylvanas
Loatheb
The Black Knight
Cenarius
--I would consider subbing out the 1 Druid of the Claw for a Harrison if the meta calls for it.

Tree of Life:
With a deck like this, having a "reset button" should help you fare against rush & aggro decks, but due to the infinite Malornes & Ysera Draws & Even more Legendaries from Sneeds & recombobulators, you should be able to win against other Late Game & Control decks too. They will run out of removal eventually!

Combo:
I only included 1 Combo Set. I would like to fit a 2nd Savage Roar and/or a 2nd FoN but I'm trying to squeeze in a lot of late game minions. Probably more successful with 2 sets though!

Druid of the Fang:
I would not consider Druid of the Fang for this deck since that card would require a lot more beasts. In fact, I'm phasing out Druid of the Claw, only including 1 copy with this iteration, but might consider replacing that with a Harrison since there's a ton more weapons coming with GvG.
I put a lot of control cards in this deck but some didn't quite make the cut yet:

Kezan Mystic:
This card seems really good for almost any deck, except for this one. I might consider swapping 1 Grove Tender for 1 Kezan Mystic if secrets are really out of control, but in most cases I think it is unnecessary. A deck like this should be able to play around secrets I think, we're all accustomed to it already anyways.
Hemet Kesingwary:
This card seems really bad... unless you face off against a lot of druid/hunters. It might be worth trying to fit this guy in if the meta warrants it, then he can just be recombobulated into something more useful after he's used his battlecry.
Foe Reaper 4000:
This guy seems perfectly suited to this deck, and I did include him in an early iteration. He's a big sticky minion that helps keep the board clean. Might be worth including him instead of Troggzor. I just think Troggzor might be a little bit better. Both minions serve to control the board in a different way. I tend to think you won't utilize Foe Reaper's AoE attacks very much so I excluded him. I'd rather make my enemy uneasy about using spells.
Mogor the Ogre:
I like the affect, I just don't like that he's a 7/6. I think he'll be removed way too easily. Might be a worthwhile addition in a deck like this though because you probably won't have too many minions on the board at once and when you do there could easily be a Sludge Belcher in front of you that you want to get around. This guy would allow for that possibility.

Pre-Launch event? When is that? I clicked on Arena and wasn't given any sort of notification, just looked like I had to purchase an Arena as normal.

A free Arena run with 3 packs is actually quite generous. I'm impressed. Cash value of ~$6.50

Not sure when the pre-launch event is or if it will even be offered. I found the information on Hearthpwn who data mined the launch event stuff out of yesterday's patch.

4 packs and some gold though? Yes please!

Ideas for a Control Hunter deck.
[GvG] Late Game Hunter - Hearthstone Decks

I prefer to play control decks so along with the druid above I'll be trying to play a control hunter as well. Just threw some ideas together. Both decks will see a bunch of changes I'm sure.
You realise Lil' Exorcist only gets buffed for eachenemyDeathrattle, right? I guess it's still a decent bet that people will still be playing Deathrattle, but I dunno. Seems like there might be better taunt options, your 3 mana slot is bloated and your 4 is too low, which makes me think Sen'jin or Arcane Nullifier would be better, unless the meta stays death rattle heavy after the release. Also, I'd add in x2 Freezing Trap, particularly with so many new cards that have higher mana costs. Also, I don't see why you wouldn't play Wild Pyromancer in a Control Hunter deck, particularly when you're running x2 Hunter's Mark and x2 Feign Death and Explosive Sheep, it adds even more AoE. Every good Control Hunter deck I've seen runs x2 Pyro/x2 Mark. Plus your end game objective is to win with Gah'zrilla, which doesn't seem very realistic, but is a pretty fun idea and is made much better by Pyromancer.

Yea I know about Lil Exorcist, not sold on her by any means. I debated with pyro a bit too, not ruling out completely. Also considered removing an Exorcist for an Ooze or something else. Lil Exorcist seems really good in a Control Deck which is what this is, but definitely could be replaced. Also not sold on the idea of having the cult master + UTH combo, but figure more card draw is needed. Cult master works well with the savannah highmane too which is why I threw it in. Also not 100% if Rag should be in. Lots of room to play.

Zoolocks are faggots and deserve to be ridiculed
Huntards are far, far worse, but yeah I agree. The both of them are pathetic scrub players that can't handle making their own deck or playing with their own brain. They are FOTM losers and just net deck whatever they see the current popular streamer playing. And then they usually think they are good players and are exceptionally cocky. You can tell most of them suck when they toss out emotes left and right when they get over excited about winning, or they jump the gun and use "I'm sorry" emotes with huge assumptions that they've already won. Pathetic shits, the lot of them. I love owning them with my unique, self-crafted decks. It explodes their feeble braincells to play against a deck that isn't from a streamer.

So once this xpac drops, what's everyone's plan for getting cards? Arena for packs? Save up gold now, buy a bunch of packs and then hit constructed? Buy packs with $ and then constructed? Make a specific deck with dust?

I have like 3k gold, so I could drop some on packs, but I'm thinking I'm just going to hit arena maybe a dozen times and then futz around on the ladder with whatever deck I can cobble together.

My initial chunk of gold is just going to go towards packs, after that all my gold will be spent on arena entries.

I would remove the FoN combo from the deck entirely I think you have enough giant beefy dudes that you don't have to rely on burstiness of the combo especially if you plan on full healing your opponent somewhere during the game.

-1 Force of Nature
-1 Savage Roar
-1 Cenarius

+2 Earthen Ring
+1 Ragnaros

I think recombobulator is a sleeper hit from the set but it's a "nonbo" with sneed due to transform not triggering deathrattle, I'd like another 8 cost minion with no Battlecry/Death rattle to trigger and rag is the only choice. If rag doesn't win the game you can transform him into any other 8 drop and 90% of them are bombs the worst being a 7/7 with divine shield.

This way you have a pretty sizable list of targets from 7-9 to hit, I removed Cenarius because I doubt this deck will have many minions on board to get buffed from his one Battlecry nor do I think 2 2/2 taunts on turn 9 is going to be worth it since sludge belcher/Dotc will put the nail in most agro decks by then.

I added two earthen rings as a way to stave off agro until you can gain control they also have a double use of being early drops that can trade favorable and more importantly trigger traps. If you can bounce an earthen ring with freezing trap you are in a good spot, they also live through flametrap.

I like your ideas! Thanks for the feedback. I definitely was considering removing the combo entirely and 2 Earthen rings would be nice.

One reason I keep Cenarius is so I can use my Golden Cenarius, LOL... So pretty! I can see your point though.
