It heals the person with the least amount of HP. Distance isn't a factor outside of heroes being out of range.

Tank in the frey getting shit on but your nova is standing behind you with less health? grats, tank is gonna die and then so will the the rest of you shortly after. I'm perfectly fine with her jug doing that, but her Q should be controllable. Specially if you even consider trying to go cleanse with it lol

Haha, Zeratul's skill ceiling is massive compared to KT. Honestly they probably will put Flame Thrower and Ignite on the same skill tier when they re-balance him, although they will probably over do it like they did with Sgt. Hammer and nerf him down to garbage status. Then again maybe they are still selling shitloads of skins and shit for him so they leave it.
I don't think Hammer is really that bad. It is just the meta is all mage centered and that meta just shits ontop of Hammer. KT especially just takes a steamer on her chest.

This is my first MOBA I've taken past a tutorial so permit me to make this observation.
After 20 levels does it feel like the boards need more variety? it feels like every board is the same ,and they just change up the theme.
Kind of getting bored.

I don't think you'll find many moba players saying the maps are not different enough in hots since they are used to playing on just one map in other mobas. Though maybe someday they could add alternative game modes, like a king of the hill game mode, just as an example, but that definitely wouldn't happen for years and probably never.
I finally made the change last night to Smartcast On Release setup. Actions seem to be able to be made much, much quicker now.
I don't think it will "never" happen due to the SC2 engine. I know they've toyed around with the idea instead of loading the replay file from 0:00 that they establish a checkpoint system. So you can basically load the game state from maybe 1:00 in the past and use the replay catch-up system to load the final minute. Effectively letting you quickly drop in/out of games. Why there is a hard limit of 12 players per game I'm not sure but they've also removed the SC2-ism where if one player lags it lags the entire game for everyone so all spectators wouldn't lag the actual players.
Yeah, I guess I'm not into MOBAs then, don't get the attraction. Even something like Arathi Basin would be cool just so it's not the same thing every time.
On the new map, with all the little path blockers, scouting drones and creep tumors are so good.
Also, I feel like aggressive melee assassins fare better than others. Lots of little areas to surprise people / split teams up.

Started playing Heroes a couple months ago and bought the starter pack (Raynor, Malfurion, and Muradin). Hit level 30 the other day but only have 4 heroes (those 3 + Valla). I listen to a Heroes podcast and they mentioned a tier list. Where/who puts together this tier list? Is there one that is "best"? Any/all help would be appreciated in helping me decide on the heroes to get. Sitting on 43K gold and don't want to mess up any buys.

Currently you can't go wrong with Kael'thas(possibly going to get a nerf? something needs to happen), Jaina, Valla, Johanna, Anub, Rehgar, Uther, and Zeratul. But Zera has a really high skill cap.
Just realize tiers of heroes change every couple months with nerfs and buffs. Stitches used to be picked every match and now people would probably yell at you.
People will yell at you no matter what you pick. Bitching about the map, the comp, counter picks, etc.

In my experience this is only somewhat true. If you pick Tyrande as our only healer, you'll get bitched at. If you first pick Nova, you'll get bitched at. I'd imagine different MMRs have semi-different metas similar to Dota but I'm not really sure. Maps and counter-picks somewhat come into play but usually its just "That hero is shit and makes no sense in this lineup" argument.

i love shit talking people that pick bottom tier characters, they get so upset while im laughing with the 3 queue i'm with. Like.. first pick sonya/gaz/nova is so beyond stupid, and they still try and counter 'yell' at me when i pick kael to make up for their garbage decision and double, some times triple their damage, carrying them every time.
