Well you can't really expect much when the game is currently pay-walled. There isn't a decent sample size of players in this one yet to be able to accurately portray anything close to dota 2 or league match making.

And even in those games everyone's pretty much functionally retarded.

I think you need someone to take some heat off her. she plays more like a melee assassin than a warrior really. She has good self sustain.

All the rr bros games with sonya in it went pretty well, we usually run a dedicated tank though so that's probably why.

Yeah she'll just get blown up if she tries to rush headfirst in there. Until you get Stoneskin you have a really hard time eating any burst really.

Trying to do solo queues as sonya is mind blowingly awful, it's like when im trying to solo queue as illidan now to level him up a bit.
What a nightmare haha

so far i really, really enjoy playing tyrande, jaina, zeratul and rehgar (his heroic heal is crazy good lol)

Sonya's biggest issue I think is that the tank role has a lot of OP alternatives. She doesn't really do as much damage as a dedicated assassin either, so she ends up feeling like a jack of all trades or siege specialist. It works ok when you have another dedicated tank but if you've only got sonya as a warrior and are competing against characters like arthas/stitches her shortcomings become more readily apparent. Something like stitches hook is an amazing way to pull out and focus someone. Sonya's spear is like the exact opposite.

So the NA scene is looking for blood. I don't have a *ton* of time but I wouldn't mind finding a static 5 to run and maybe just dick around in these tournaments. But I would really prefer Diamond players. Let's get the discussion started.

im not diamond my mmr for quickmatch is only like 1800 lol but I was looking for the same thing a core group of people to play with

and ive only played 2 hero league games so far

Suffering through asmodan just to get his level 5 gold has been a horrible experience. I've never felt so useless as any other champ.

Azmodan isn't a great hero, but I had a lot of fun last night messing around on him in QM. He's a lot more fun when you can snipe people from far away with his Q. Also had fun playing Tyrande even though I felt partially not useful at times.

I like Tyrande as well and can see how she could be a good team pick, but yea she is really skill dependent with the skill shots and knowing where/when to position and very unforgiving with low HP and no real escapes.

What time are these tournaments? My curiousity is piqued, but I don't have much free time. Like I could do a saturday binge, but I wouldn't even have much time for practice so I'd be a horrible teammate. A lot of my time in hots I'm playing w/ rl bros, why I didn't respond to your post teck. I'd love to do some ranked 5-man pre-mades and I can fill in when yall need me sometimes, but if someone else can commit to that spot I'm not going to pretend like I'm going to be reliable.

I'm diamond mmr in quick match, a lot of that lately is playing with friends, but I was diamond mmr before I started playing with them. My ranked mmr is bronze, lol, but I'm like 6-13 overall, but like 5-0 or 5-1 solo que because match making likes to fuck you if you don't que with a full group.

Maybe we'll revisit the topic in a month or so. I'd like most of the people to at least be able to achieve diamond on hotslogs doing mostly solo queue.

I'm (very slowly) climbing up on hotslogs, I'll keep an eye out because I would very much like a static group to play with (be it 5-7 whatever) especially for ranked. I am a total moba rookie so I have no problem learning the ropes before subjecting vets grouping heh.

Playing Asmodan on Co-Op (yeah yeah whatever I enjoy it) is a lot of fun. Especially on Cursed Mines when you can use your death beam on the golem. I find his abilities to be quite handy even though he isn't terribly great at a direct conflict.

So, I was looking for a moba to really try to get into, but I don't want to get into something that will die on release. Do you guys think this game will have a competitive following on release? I have a beta key, so I can actually play it.
