The hero league is pretty bullshit. I went like 5-15 in a day and still bumped up 4 ranks. It's stupid and they need a solo queue and team queue. I don't understand. Do companies not look at what established and successful MOBAs are doing (LoL/DotA2)? They have two perfectly good examples of systems that work. Hell, Blizzard has SC2 ladders to use as a template or even HS ladder, yet they cobble together this grindfest of a system that bears no reflection on actual skill. Retarded.

A wide margin of players agree those sentiments balroc. Even in podcasts and what not after blizzard employees log off skype they bad mouth the fact that they couldn't learn from previous blizzard titles as far as matchmaking/ranking system implementation goes.

The weird thing is SC2 has what I consider a near perfect ladder. Not sure why they took Hearthstone's and plugged it into Heroes instead of SC2's. Maybe SC2's ladder is less casual friendly, dunno.

Talk to me about Chen. Why do people not play him at all (according to hero.gg). Gave him a go via the shop try button. Seems like he is an amazing disruptor, initiator and a bit of damage with amazing sustain.

He was very popular for a while then get nerfed. I never played him in the first place so I don't recall exactly what happened but I think they made it so you can't chug for infinite shields. I know they also made it so his split has a small wind-up time but that seems fairly inconsequential.

Chen is probably my all-time favorite character. He's absolutely insane at times and I feel like most people just don't have a handle on how to play him well. He starts the game a bit weak, but is just stupidly unkillable in the late game and his disruption is hilarious with split-panda ult.

His one weakness is that his chug ability is channeled. If you have a stun/knockback heavy comp you're going to have a really bad time. Most pubs don't realize that though, and absolutely will stand there ineffectively plugging you full of ultimates and cooldowns while you chug your brew and give zero fucks as your teammates destroy them.

Yeah, nothing particularly wrong with chen, just he is a newer hero and costs 10k so not many ppl own him, if you're going to buy one w/ gold stiches was always the go to, we'll probably see more chen when the stiches nerf comes.

How is tassadar? hes listed in game as support, but on C9s little tier lists hes snuck into the ranged carry / assassin role.

Either shorten the hook range, make the hook travel slower (similar to Pudge in Dota), or at the very least make it so he can't pull through terrain but imo than he loses a lot of the fun.

They could go into another direction completely and neuter is damage. Make him all about initiation and CC similar to ETC.

He can somewhat heal with a healing totem, otherwise all he has is a shield. He does amazing damage which is why he is considered an assassin. Don't expect heals like an actual support, if you pick him there should still be another dedicated support.

His W kind of hurts if you can follow up with some autos for the proc.

Apparently healing totems don't die to AOE now so they are useful according to the forums.

Tassadar is only a support as legacy from when he actually was a support. Early in the alpha he was redesigned to his current kit and is more an assassin. He still has his shield which is very nice but he isn't a true support by any means.

The prices of things like the Lunar Festival skins are just crazy. If they can convince people of the value they could easily rake in more $$ with this than with WoW thanks to the power of microtransactions.

It's nutty. I took a look at the bundle with Heroes and Skins and it was $32. I owned LiLi already and it wasn't reduced in price. I purchased Chen to try him out and when you look at the skin bundle, it was $22.00. Cost is basically the same. I would of bought the bundle if it wasn't $32.00. I would of purchased it if was in the $10-15 range.
