By the end of this the Senate very well may vote to remove him from office, then use their remaining majority in the senate under Pence to stack the courts as heavily as possible before Pence and McConnell lose their elections next year.
I do not think McConnell survives in Kentucky next year. He's gone from "He's a piece of shit but he's our piece of shit" to "Someone put this turtle on its back on the highway in front of a fast moving semi please"
