whatever happened to spanking?I had vinyl plank in the bathroom. Just ripped it out and put down a roll of vinyl, main reason? 5 year old son hose piping piss all over, it gets into the gaps and is impossible to clean so ends up stinking. He's imaginative I'll give him that, he's experimented with pissing through a toilet roll tube, into a cup then pouring it out, with the lid down, standing on the footstool etc etc. Fun stuff.

You don’t spank kids so hard you bruise them, you do it to get their attention, a quick sting slap. Why would I spank him? he's wasn't being malicious, just experimenting, and he doesn't do it any more. If you smacked your kid everything time they did something daft they'd be permanently covered in bruises.
I mean pergo stuff is meh but for his application why spend money on something like wood floors? For a basement exercise room I’d be most concerned about how well the material will hold up. Consider that + looks + price would be my deciding factors.Installed some vinyl plank flooring for a friend today. I had never worked with that stuff, it's super easy and nice to work with. Easy to cut, lays down fast. I did almost 800 square feet in a short day.
Now, all that said, I think it is ugly. Doesn't look amazing, but there are certainly places for it. This was in a basement in a room full of exercise equipment. It doesn't have to be cozy. And the basement has flooded twice. We're pretty sure that's fixed now, but no sense putting carpet back in until you're sure, and this guy found the stuff at a Habitat Re-Store. Super cheap, looks better than bare concrete, done in a day.
I've done other click-install, floating floors, but never vinyl. Others have thoughts on it?
I do like the idea of water not affecting it. I’ve seen wood floors that have warped due to water spills that weren’t caught. My whole upstairs is vinyl plank. I love it. Dogs can't do shit to it, don't worry if I spill water on it, fairly easy to install. What's not to like?
the bricks cracking seem bad, but the mortar separating is an easy fix i picked up a tube of this and it worked great w/ the texture and color to matchYall had me looking around my house found these out the front, definitely new the past few months as I check the caulk about every 3. How fucked is this? Texas clay under the foundation.
