Definitely see it. Even people that disagree on The Hobbit can agree that The Incredibles is worth watching.

Not only do they think The Hobbit is good, they defend it with great passion. The are the "The Edge"s of Peter Jackson movies. My poor tuconets.

I watched all 3 extended edition's of Lord of the Rings leading up to The Hobbit. Yes, I know that chronologically, they take place after The Hobbit, but it still got me in the mood.

Then, no lie, I literally fell asleep once or twice while watching The Hobbit opening night. It was complete garbage. I saw it in Imax 3D with that higher frame rate, and I hated it. Will not see again, nor will I watch the follow ups.
I'm glad that this movie didn't take away from the original trilogy.

I hated that higher frame rate too. It made the already-too-much CGI look even worse, in my opinion.

Fast forward the second one to any scene with Smaug in it, and in those scenes try to ignore how stupid the CGI for the dwarves looks as they Jar Jar their way around the under mountain. Because Smaug is pretty rad looking at least. Everything else in the movie was pretty much atrocious.

smaug the creature, was fucking awesome. that aside, yeah the first two were pretty bad. i have not seen the third one yet. i am still keeping up hopes that some tolkien nerd re-edits all 3 movies into one epic film the way it should have been.

Someone will, just like with the Star Wars prequels. Though to be fair I never watched that, maybe it sucked. Apparently Topher Grace did a cut just for his friends, and someone took it and ran with it. Has anyone actually seen it?

It's like they wanted to make a big screen Tinkerbell movie solely for the kids, but someone convinced them to stick Lewis Black in there for the minimal necessary amount of parental appeal.

I figure for the most part I'm not the target audience for this movie, my 8 year old daughter is. Luckily I think my wife volunteered to take her to this one (I took her to the Spongebob movie last).

Currently sitting at98% on RTwith 128 reviews which is the highest they've had since Toy Story 3 in 2010. Perhaps Pixar is coming out of the slump they've been in with their most recent movies.

what slump? their last movie was Monsters University and that kicked ass. brought in a fuckload of cash too. Brave was 2012 and it wasnt awesome, but it wasnt bad. cars 2 was ass, but somebody liked it because it made 550m. toy story 3 was awesome as well

Toy Story was the only one I really liked and I thought the original was much better. Monsters Inc and braver were Meh and Cars is just terrible

Up is the best film ever made about anything ever. Finding Nemo, Toy Story, and The Incredibles were all solid. WALL-E was almost on that level for me, but not quite. Brave did not do anything for me, but I assume it was profitable.
