At work, we have over 1000 customers that still only let us connect to their PBX via dial up, so we started scouring everywhere we could to find vintage early 90s tech, like premium Hayes modems, because they work so much better than any modern modem you're going to find.

Ironically, not many people know what an OC192 etc, is. Took a school trip to Williams communications in Illinois back in HS for a networking course and they played a bit of this. Then explained that he's actually is kinda right. There's cables over the ocean floor etc.
