Lot of places follow the govie rule. If holiday falls on Sat, Friday off. If holiday falls on Sunday, Monday off. This is just one example of the ways Bank and Govie holidays don't line up.

Yep, we follow the Fed schedule and we had to work Christmas Eve too even though almost all of our clients were closed/off. Same with tomorrow but most people are open/working tomorrow.
I love how they gave us a floating holiday for Christmas but we had a week to use it. At least the one they are giving us for New Years we can use anytime within Q1.

Not all stocks go zoom. WMT for example is a 10-15% a year type of stock. It's just really stable. I am only up about 10% since I bought back in. PYPL I got no answers for. I am just riding out this downturn. PLTR is a meme stock. I am not familiar with MPC.

Well that and I only really started investing in stonks in July/Aug, so this year I only really created like 5 positions.
MPC is Marathon Petroleum. I think Blazin posted it.
