If people learn nothing else, position size is the most important . Especially on high risk.
Definitely learned this lesson.

*Rich people's kid. This person is not particularly well-adjusted. He has an advanced degree in Non-profit Management so he can administer his parent's "foundation" that they've used to avoid paying taxes for the past few decades. His father was a tax avoidance consultant at a well-known company that was involved in a very well-known fiasco, and got out just before the fiasco was exposed. His mother's wedding ring is property of their "charitable foundation" for instance. Willing to bet the condo will be property of the foundation technically as well.Sounds like a waste of money to me. Its not like high end condos are built out in the middle of nowhere.
But i get rich people love to blow their money on such things.
Will be fun to see how good my analysis is versus what the market prices in. Markets are pretty darn efficient could get there pretty quickly. Part of my bullishness on the space is predicated on Apple releasing an AR product and FB on a metaverse platform but it's looking like I jumped the gun some on move to next stage of tech.
The call may change things depending on what management presents, they would have to make a strong argument that things are going to accelerate.
If people learn nothing else, position size is the most important . Especially on high risk. For me high risks plays are usually less than 0.5% of portfolio. Some of it for me is that I have never had a >500% gainer and I'm willing to occasionally risk a small position knowing it will fail a good number of times but I'll hit one eventually and even if I don't it won't be a material impact.
I have looked at PYPL and whether I should have cut and run but I just didnt see the fundamental change to have made me move away. Hindsight being 20/20 yeah it would have been a good move. It to me is close to the same company it was 40% ago. If XOM can come back from the dead so can PYPL.That seems to be the lesson in this Tech bear market that sometimes taking the loss is the right choice. It sucks at the time but so far dumping my losers has been the right move.

Every loss I've taken this year continued to drop , can always redeploy when winds turn.
Are they going to only sell to adults that have kids?Knowing Disney, it would be basically like living in a full-on corporate surveillance state.
They will probably screen applicants heavily.
Not saying there won't be pedophiles, because there are pedophiles literally everywhere, but it might be a tough place to get away with it.
Wouldn't shock me. Lots of communities do that. Are they going to only sell to adults that have kids?
ftfy. All the weirdos without kids who love Disney and have Disney themed parties and go on vacations only at DIsney parks and dumb shit like that now have somewhere to live!
???ftfy.
If you have kids, Disney is amazing for them.
Have you ever taken your kids to Walt Disney World????
Disney is pure evil and showing anything they have made in the last 15 years to kids should be punishable under the child abuse statutes.

I have run into some of these weirdos as well. Weirdly obsessed person who did not like anything other than Disney.Oh this post gives me PTSD. My ex had a group of friends like this. All full grown adults with no kids. Most of them also got married in Disney. These people are a blight on society

One of the benefits of being in the Pacific Northwest is that you're so far from civiliz... I mean, the rest of the country, that it gives parents an easy excuse for not giving into their kids' demands to go to the 2 Disney theme parks. People, especially east coast people don't really appreciate the distances involved. Like, it's about 280 miles from Eugene OR (UofO is there) to Seattle. In that space, there is maybe 4-5 cities, if you count Salem and Olympia as cities that is. On the East coast, that's roughly the same distance from D.C. to Bridgeport CT. Compare and contrast the amount of people in these 2 corridors. And people here think nothing of driving the ~4hrs to Seattle if need be. It's just how it goes. Further than that though? Meh. Getting to SF (the next really large metro area) just isn't really done much unless you REALLY have to because it's about an 11hr drive. And who really needs to go to CA these days? I don't even like going to PDX if I can possibly avoid it.Have you ever taken your kids to Walt Disney World?
Disneyland is crap. Dont spend the money. Disney World on the other hand and its FOUR theme parks and its TWO water parks is another story. I think young kids should get the opportunity to experience it at least once in their lives. At the 5-10 age they just are in awe because they arent old enough to see through the illusion yet.One of the benefits of being in the Pacific Northwest is that you're so far from civiliz... I have never been to Disneylandworld and will not go. Hell, I've only ever been to FL once and that was only for 2 days back in 2001.
Yeah this shit is amazing to see live.and you saw entire large kiosks disappear behind the scenes only to be replaced by ones selling ponchos and umbrella, and it all happened so fast.
Imagine the clustering of complete weirdos in that neighborhood.
