Is that the electric vehicle company that built an eletric semi truck and did a demo everyone wrote about and it turns out they used an extension cord? Maybe I'm thinking of someone else.
No that's NKLA. Somehow, no one knows why, it's still at $6 a share.

Never heard about the semi and extension cord. But the downhill "test drive" where the thing was in neutral and coasting the entire time was the stuff of legend.

We covered it pretty extensively in this thread a while back. One of the short companies found it. It was a Demo truck they showcased and the shorts found the electric cord in a photo.

No. I’ve actually seen one of the Rivian trucks driving uphill on a highway in real life. Have only seen that one once, but there were only like 86 in existence at that time.

Reasons I don't like it is poor breadth and positive vix

These things can change rapidly but need to see some improvement

edit.. I did just buy some DIS @ $129.75

I have orders in on NVDA, FB, AAPL, MSFT, GOOG, CRM, and AMZN but at conservative bids here until I can see some better buy signs.

VXX halt #3

Trading is completely decoupled from the actual VIX now.
We've been on this ride before, I guess everyone enjoyed it enough the first time to do it again. It needs shut down until such time it can meet its stated goals. You on the right side of the move?

If this were to go through, would this weaken Dollar in the short term? I think it inevitably will on a longer timeframe, but curious if anyone sees any near-term affects on market? Is this already getting priced in? Thoughts?

EDIT: I know this thread is generally not for this sort of speculation, but I felt that it was relevant to market movements in the shorter term due to how fragile the market seems to be recently so wanted to ask here.

Just sat to watch the show. The news from Barclays yesterday, I believe I posted here:

14 Mar 10:56 [BARC.UK] Suspends sales and issuance of oil ETN and VXX ETN; Says not related to Ukraine or market dynamics; Will reopen 'as soon as it can'
- Suspension might lead to volatility in trading value - Source TradeTheNews.com
