Funny thing about banks and deposits. They cant survive without them. It becomes a death spiral.

Liquified my AAPL, MSFT and FTEC. I havent held this much cash since pre-Covid. The market will now go vertical. You're welcome.
I should have added an explanation of this. Selling isnt a market fear thing. I am going liquid since I am possibly planning to use the 60-day rollover rule to front myself a free loan for a cash purchase of a new home while my existing home sits under contract. So, its strictly following the philosophy of "if you might need the cash in the next few months, it shouldn't be invested in instruments".

Put it in the Apple/Goldman savings account. The 2k I dropped in there last month has earned more in interest already that my much larger cash balance in a savings account has in 10 years.

I think it would be a viable strategy to, if the market gaps down in the morning, immediately buy calls and sell later in the day.

Vanguard recently opened up a high yield money account. I immediately moved the bulk of my Wells Fargo savings account into it. This is another thing that's killing banks as they're not capable of offering this yet.
