I had sort of planned to retire at 67 but if Trump can give us 4 years of prosperity then 65 might be in the works.

Gravel right now jacking off to his gains.
Full disclosure I own by business so this week I have basically done nothing but beat the drums for the election and then shitpost since he won. The amount of additional work I might get done between 65 and 67 is probably close to zero.

Eh, not really. The thing about it is that unless you're liquidating, the gains don't matter. It's been nice to make sales this year with an extra 10-20% on top, but we also started -20% the year after we retired.

Right now they're just numbers in a spreadsheet.

I just switched my security camera system to run on a Ubiquiti Cloud key and and am going to over time get cameras changed over to theirs. They have so many products I want sometimes I feel like Bubbles on Alinitiy's OF

Probably going to lose my TSLA shares, still not going to worry about it too much till next week. The IV is so high on TSLA rolling options are there even if talking $25-30 calls. It moved to my largest gain but of course is now capped. Today's benefit not really there for me at the moment.
Their product offering is huge and they’re constantly releasing new stuff. It’s pretty amazing for a hardware company. I’ve got a few thousand sunk into my UI network setup. The cameras I’ve avoided due to some issues I heard about (can’t remember off top of head) and lack of ability to auto detect a broad array of animals. That was maybe earlier this year or end of last year though that I checked. Will recheck camera offerings tho. Post your thoughts in the networking thread once you switch over

My UI doorbell sucks at animals unless they're REALLY close. It failed to recognize a bear in an empty yard at 20 feet. Other than that I really like the cameras. Most things "just work" and I get to keep everything off the cloud.

Yeah. I think their AI detection will improve. I’m just sitting and waiting for the time to switch off Arlo.

I dont get how some of these stocks are being pumped to such levels. Notably, stocks like PLTR. Absolutely crazy, and it gives me pandemic vibes (irrational exuberance) to the point where I wouldn't be surprised to see a major correction ..

We live in a hype economy. Nothing in the market has been connected to reality in the last decade or so.

TSLA up another 7% in the pre-market. We need a new reaction for it. Instead of "To the moon" we need "To Mars".

US Government bailing these corporations out over and over is keeping the stock market from bottoming out. It only hurts the middle class person, so we never hear about it. As long as they arent allowed to fail, I dont think we'll ever see a true evaluation based off rational figures. For example: Delta Airlines and the CARES Act, if you want to research that. A middle class person could have bought 2 - 3 times as many shares as they did of Delta if it had been allowed to reach its actual valuation.

ALB broke above the 200-DMA this morning and the short squeeze is on. +10% on the day. 11% of the float is shorted so some pain to be had. I closed out my position for about breakeven. Nothing against the company, it has just proven to be more volatile than I like. Shit was a hell of a ride the last 6 months or so though, eh Tmac Tmac ?
