Nice. I'd rolled by MSTR short puts yesterday, from a Friday 2/28 to Friday 3/7, for more losses today but down to a $275 strike. I think I'll let these ride and if they get exercised sell calls on the shares.

Bought 100 VOO just now in my IRA, it was sitting in ~50% cash since I rolled over from my companies 401k last year. Hopefully get it down to a more normal cash balance averaging in over the next 10 months.

a few of my watched items are approach the 200DMA or visually past the 100DMA. Suppose NVDA earnings tomorrow will be interesting since they move the entire S&P in whatever direction they go. Even bitcoin is down to 88k or so last I looked.

I hope this is the correction that brings us closer in line with reality. But if you look at a 10Y chart of the SPY there were only a handful of extended downturn markets ignoring the short lived blip during covid. I'd like to see the upward line more slow and steady, which would be expected if we are on a path to getting inflation under control. Ever since COVID shit went nuts.

That will never happen. Take the historical perspective. Scroll out far enough and you see the trajectory / steepening of the market only ever increases over time (going back decades). It never was a linear curve.

Thanks to new money creation (printing).

Today looking more like a rotation out of tech to safe harbors. HD, WMT, all the Industrials, even UNH moving solidly green.

Anyone playing a rebound? Picked up 10 NVDA Calls 4/17 $140s. Tight stop on them, will sell before earnings either today or tomorrow.

Bought SPY, IWM, GOOGL, NVDA, INTC, Bitcoin and FBTC.

Some for longer term holds, some for the oversold bounce play. Intel for the buyout speculation / small lotto.

Both SPY and QQQ failing then reclaiming the 100D is a fairly strong buy conviction. (In the short term)

Was good timing taking NVDA hedge off for the bounce. Now that we had that back check I'm less inclined to want to put it back on...decisions.

I'm laughing at my DCA effort into VTI. Been at it for months, all gains wiped out now and I'm breakeven. Makes me think I should just sell it all and go for real estate since I have no exposure there

Wait longer. Years and decades, not months, is the right time horizon to be evaluating that kind of investment.

VTI is up almost 7% over the last 6 months or annualized to almost 14%. For a total market index. The US market is in downward trend the last couple of months. One cant be a long term investor and focus on short term trends. Perhaps being a short term trader is more what you are looking for. Blazin Blazin and Jysin Jysin can opine more on the short term trader stuff.

I guess another way to look at it is this: if I had nothing invested in VTI, would I take the money I do have now and drop it all into VTI today. It's a market timing question but we all know the answer to that. Above poster is right, I need to think long term
