I wont shit up this thread with politics but man it sure puts it in perspective to the people crying when displayed like that(assuming all numbers are accurate-ish).

Also, due to the moderately green day and my feeling as posted before that we are seeing the start of a true bear market coming and not just a correction, I had puts on TSLA + SPY. If this doesn't correct by open I will be up in a nice way. Shame the entire bet was only about 20k.

The only way to put anything in perspective for yourself is to stop trusting any politician at all, no matter their party, and start looking into anything that *actually* interests you, yourself.

Also the best way to invest and generally succeed in life.

Agreed. I specifically meant how other countries tariff us vs. how we tariff them. I knew it was imbalanced, but I like that they printed it country by country like that. Of course some jackasses out there will defend the numbers as biased as they are.

The scale and direction of exchange matters here; rates don't tell the whole story. Just making up numbers, but if Myanmar puts a 50% tariff on $10,000 of US goods that they import but processes a billion dollars of T-shirts for US companies that US consumers now pay 25% more for, the whole thing is just self-inflicted pain.
