Looking at 401k's at companies new provider..... MFS growth portfolio seems to good to be true unless the expense is absurd enough to make up for it. Was kinda looking at just slapping it all in a Vanguard target retirement portfolio or split with the vanguard insitutional index. But seems like it might be worth socking half into this instead?
retirement target funds allocate a portion to bonds. fuck that.

Net expense ratio is 0.56%. its higher than it should be but 401ks tend to fuck employees on their choices. Its a good fund.

I thought they don't do bonds until closer to that date as it transitions to no risk. I'd change my allocations I think closer to that time but 30+ years out, I think it's like 5% or less bonds atm I think.

Most current 401k seems to have a fairly wide choice list, or at least plenty of vanguard options which seem to be my investing for dummies good option.

Walmart got sued a few years ago because they had a collection of junk as their 401k choices, and was forced by court to offer some low fee stuff from blackrock, vanguard and the like. So there should always be some low fee stuff in a companies choices.

Why’d everything tank at the end there? Been busy today haven’t kept up. Was it because of Kamala Harris announcement?

I was wondering if the TSLA split could backfire, but then I remembered that electric cars don't backfire.

Fuck it. I'll bite on the TSLA train after it splits.
You do realize that you are still paying the equivalent of like $1500 a share at today's price? You could just buy 0.2 shares today and get the same result. Assuming you want to pay $1500 a share.

Between my individual shares that have run up and what is tied to the ETFs I own I am pretty much maxed out at about 6% of my portfolio. It forces me to not buy more at this crazy price.

I feel like this is 1920 and we're all hi-5ing each other because money is forever. My goal has always been to retire on the day I have 25x replacement income saved (currently at ~5), but if stocks do like this, I might as well retire at 15x or so. What's the catch to all this money I'm getting. It's good to have a reminder that most of the dollars I make come from someone else losing them:
