Love the cognitive dissonance in the african american community

“It’s an incredible signal to the Black community,” said Anna Gifty Opoku-Agyeman, co-founder of the Sadie Collective, a nonprofit working to get more Black women in economics. “This administration is going to be focused on thinking about: ‘How do we build up Black wealth? How do we close this racial wealth gap?’”

How well did that work out for ya'll with a black president for 8 years?

lmao. I'm white as can be, but I've been putting black as my race on everything for a few years now, especially the census. Gimme those reparations.

It's just so ridiculous. Saw one earlier today about "black banks."

Money doesn't give a shit about skin color.

Not going down the rabbit hole in this thread but it all comes back to education. Who in their right mind expects high school dropouts who live their existence on govt safety nets to manage their money? White, black, yellow, green. Race dont matter. You don't close the wealth gap until you close the education gap. And I don't mean college. We are talking about people who can't calculate change without the cash register telling them how many coins to give back.

Ps.. PLTR $18.75 do we hit $20 today?

I agree with this. However, I'm assuming the thinking is, closing the wealth gap will naturally close the education gap, remove the cycle of poverty etc., and education gap will naturally close itself within X# of generations. They just want to put one before the other and are going to try that with fiscal policy I guess?

Whomever thinks that is just ass-backwards. Close the wealth gap before you close the education gap and they just piss it away. The reason we cant close the education gap in this country is because it requires difficult decisions that politicians dont have the balls to make. Those difficult decisions will cost them re-election. It isnt that we don't know "how" to close the education gap. Its that no one in the position to make it happen has the "will" to actually do it.

On topic: Im thinking about selling puts on CVS. I think the AMZN pharmacy thing is an over-reaction to the big pharmacy chains. They will feel some pain, but not the pain they are feeling today.

What strike price are you looking at?

The Dec 18 monthly. I think the $60 strike at 41 or 42 is a safe bet and if it gets exercised $59.60 is a good price based on how it has acted the last month. But the $62.50 at about 80 cents is a bit more risky but I like that premium.

The $62.50 is backtested over 2-years and estimates an 18.16% probability of being assigned. Obviously the $60 strike has a much less chance of being assigned. I figure to make the call around 3:45 - 3:55.

do you guys think that S&P 500 announcement is enough tot ake TSLA over $500 or is $460 is where its going to top out?

its wobbling already so im wondering if i should just eject now. if being added to S&P 500 isnt enough to take this to $500/share, then nothing will short of releasing a new car model or shipping 500K units per quarter
Never doubt the power of hopeful traders and Tesla. With it being added to the 500 it will be added to plans. They will buy the shares like crack and by February 2021 it will be sitting at 800 a share. This is my hope with no knowledge at all in investing. it's worked great so far.

I read this morning that S&P is considering adding TSLA in tranches so funds dont have to insta-sell lots of existing holdings to match the index weights.

The article says that it will 'focus on race as they shape Biden’s policies on issues like housing, health and small-business lending.' The last time they did this we got NINJA loans: No income, no job/assets. It led to the 2008 housing crash. Do you think picking who to give money to by the color of their skin is going to magically make them more successful?

Also, how do you close the education gap in a population whose culture calls anyone willing to take education seriously a fag and then beats them up?

For those who use Fidelity's platform and want to begin or get better with trading options, the Active Trader Pro software has an options strategy window that will run backtests for you and give you probabilities of being assigned. For example, here is a backtest I ran on deep-out-of-the-money puts on NIO. It shows selling the $30 puts expiring Dec 18th will net $99.35 per contract in premium and have a 12.01% chance of being assigned based on the historical 30 day volatility.

Edit: I sold the Dec 18th $27 puts.
