Just watched this video about spotting trends in the market. Seemed pretty well put together, so will try to observe it in affect over the next couple days.

Also it isn't just for intra day trading, you can even use it for multiple day/week swing trading, you just use the end of day as your high or low

This is the kind of stuff to be wary of. Lots and lots of SPACs don't do shit. If one didn't move after the announcement then I would look for something else. Too many fish in the sea. If it is sub-11 after announcement odds aren't good. SAII is like this. The crowd just didn't get excited about the merger.

I was looking for this as a short day trade, but this stock is pretty choppy to trade. I avoided.

My EBON swing, however. Huge today. Up 35% since Friday. ($6.05 cost basis)
EBON at $9.25 today.

SNDL down because they're announcing a 1 billion long term share offering, but they also regained nasdaq compliance.

That is kind of my point. Some SPACs just never pop up to the 13 or 14 level. Even in the SPAC world there is inequality. I think we need an SEC investigation into 14th amendment rights violations amongst the poor SPACs who don't get bought the way the non-poor SPACs get bought.

Yeah I get it, but selling near bottom ($11) isnt doing me many favors either. Either eat a $2600 loss at $10 or $2000 loss at $11.

$14 is a long shot but I'm willing to wait

PDAC is another example. It went from 10 to 14 on absolutely no news. Once the deal was announced it spiked to 17 in early hours but was back down to 15 at the start of trading and 14 at end of day. Need to act quickly on some of these announcements, if you don't see that early momentum after the announcement its time to cut bait.

I have pre-filled GTC-EXT orders on my SPACs to capitalize on these spikes out of nowhere and not needing to be at the keyboard.

Eg: XPOA and GSAH to sell half my position if they hit $17.

No GTC order for PSTH. I have high hopes.

Got it. This is why I am anal about buying sub-$11. I do miss out on some opportunities but I never have to eat a loss. If options are available, try selling covered calls to lower your breakeven price.

It really is about buying the hot chicks. If /wsb thinks the chick is fat or ugly they aint buying it unless its an EV play. I learned this with fintech SPACs. /wsb generally doesnt give a shit about them unless its Stripe. (see: PSTH)
