My advice is to take 5 minutes and look at the top 10 holdings in each ETF. Some ETfs will basically be the same 10 holdings. Then look at the percentage weight of each holdining in the basket. For example AAPL and MSFT make up like 25% of FTEC so for every $100 dollars invested $25 are in those two stocks. The holdings and weightings are what differentiate the ETFs and you may want or not want certain holdings or weighting.

QQQ
FTEC
SPY (or IVV)
ITOT
XLK
MGK

Those are probably the top choices off the top of my head. Note these are all American stocks. ACWI gives you all world mostly weighted to US.

I like FTEC bc it doesn't have Facebook or Alphabet as its top 10.

FTEC is information tech ETF and MSCI doesnt classify either GOOG or FB as information tech. Both are probably in ad space or something. 🤷‍♂️

The EV "disruptor" window closed when GM, F, BMW and VW etc decided to seriously enter the market instead of just some shitty one-off model to appease Cali regulators. The Asian OEMs are either sitting back and watching or are behind the curve technologically and are playing catch-up. Add in TSLA with first to market advantage and the Lordstown/NKLA/Lucid vaporware companies don't stand a chance.
I tend to agree the window has closed. The opportunity IMO is power now. Power charging stations demand will only go up from here especially with the mainstream auto makers getting on EV now in the coming few years.

They are the Comm sector. When the S&P created the Comm sector they moved in with the VZ and T type companies.

Tmac Tmac I cant stress weighting enough. For example, when you remove giganto stocks like GOOG, AMZN and FB, market cap weighted indexes end up really heavy in AAPL and MSFT. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I like it, but understand more and more of every dollar gets concentrated in those two companies due to their size. For pure tech look at the differences between FTEC, MGK and XLK. They use different indexes and their baskets are slightly different and so are their weightings.

Maybe. As the technology gets more widespread, it might be a hard market to corner when your average tradesman/construction company can provide one... And can't wait to see what happens when all the crackheads figure out there's copper in those wires.

Found something you don't see everyday. In my grandmothers safety deposit box we were cleaning out she had some stock certificates from Dow Chemical. Both her dad and brother retired from there which I'm guessing is where it started/came from.
