It's a bloodbath for airlines and cruises today, I had some puts on CCL that'll probably be assigned at this rate
Depending on if you want the stock or not you can take a $ hit and roll the options out and/or down.

JNJ reported a temp halt on late stage trial because someone got sick. They cant do anything until they find out what type of sick they are or if it has anything to do with the vaccine.

Are we no longer operating under the assumption this is like dengue fever?

That vaccine is going to fuck people up if it is

Shrug. The trial was pretty large scale. the person probably had some underlying issue they didnt report or didnt know about. It is on hold until some independent types investigate it.

I think the pfizer trial is currently the one most likely to succeed anyways. There's a few others going fairly late stage, so the JNJ one falling out isn't the end of the world. Their vaccine just got approval for expanded populations (younger people and people with some chronic diseases and worst of all, candians) to be included in phase 3. If there is an approval from the FDA on any vaccine, wouldn't be surprised to see a unique tiered system. First healthy adults, then children and old people, and it's looking more like pfizer will be the winner.

There's some others in the running and things could go south fast for any study, but with so many potential candidates still in the game it's looking like at least one will make it through before too long.

It's too bad the Kodak deal fell through. I think that could have been a very promising business pivot

The JNJ trial was 60,000 participants. The odds that one person got ill due to nothing to do with the vaccine is not out of the question. The delay will be the need for an independent auditor to look at everything. If the person developed the clap it could be back on in 2 or 3 days.

Well, earnings are on the 15th and previous earnings were the best ever, so there may be some hype involved. Though I like it long because of their investment in fintech and crypto. It's time for a recognizable name brand in the crypto space.

Sticking with my new TSLA strategy I sold on the spike up 7.5% and now I will wait for the inevitable dip to buy some back.

Sold a new set of calls on DAL expiring next Friday. Eventually I will get caught on the wrong side of this trade but until then I am gonna keep taking the free money,

Yea I keep rolling puts into calls, into more puts on DAL. It's not big money but it's honest work.

Betting on the top 5 and bottom 5 performing stocks generated about 250% gain over 5 years

Dogs of the DOW has been a strategy that people have used for decades. Dogs of the Dow Definition

While it doesn't target "Worst performers" indirectly it does as depreciation usually drives the high yields . I think it's a safer way to equity invest as the dividends give people more comfort to hold long term, but you aren't going to get the returns that rapidly growing high PE non dividend payers provide. Last few years this strategy is being slaughtered by the bank and energy sector underperformance.
