lesson of the day, you can't make money if you watch a stock too close and buy in/out a dozen times. sigh. I started pre market at 9 dollars in SLS, and now its 16 dollars, and i lost money. I'm like a magician.

edit: now 17.5 and trading halted, and I got shook out on a 15 percent trail a hour ago. What a sickening feeling.

edit#2: This was exhausting and im not doing it again, day trading is NOT for me. I traded SLS up and down at least 20 times today and just did my "oh please let it go up a little so I can just break even and be gone" trade. End result: -$280 for the day in that one stock.

HAD I JUST left it alone and walked away after buying this morning, i'd be up 10k.

I'm done, I'm ready for a break. My nerves are fried and im done with 1) options and 2) day trades

I've done just fine with year, the last thing I need is to burn all my gains and then some in a bonfire.

On the other hand, it can provide a self sustained and isolated vacation spot vs hotel bookings.

If it doesn't get shut down by local governments. Which was already starting to happen even before the pandemic. Many areas are levying massive restrictions or outright banning short term vacation rentals.

Seems like an odd company to jump into during shutdowns and travel restrictions...
A lot of locations have been cracking down on them and requiring them to act like a hotel rules wise. Room use tax is a large amount of money for a lot of places. They see it as lost money. Won't take long to figure out a way to tax it to death.

Closed out my covered calls expiring next week on PLTR at the close. Only made about a nickel on them. I wrote them pre- $20 a share so the premium was great back then, not so much after it rocketed over $30. I could have waited to let them expire next week but this stock has done too much crazy shit lately. Reward was nowhere near the risk.

Yeah, I'm going to unload all my shares I got from my puts last week after I close out my call this week and give it a breather to simmer down. I'm going to jump on sadris sadris DIS put action, the numbers look good from what I've looked at so far.

DIS was one of my first buys before the crash. I ended up buying a little higher but was able to dollar cost it down when it plunged. I am up about 35% on the year in it. And Cali is still closed.

With 3 weeks left in the year and me sitting on a huge pile of cash closing out my QQQ below the top, I think I am going to look to set up some puts next week for the January expiry and let the rest of my portfolio autopilot into the new year. If I am right about a nice dip coming for QQQ down around the support level them i'll set up an entry with puts otherwise just kick it back and relax until after year's end.

Down 7% during the day, down another 7% after hours. Cramer called for profit taking in the EV space.

Man these SPACs are fun to invest in. If you buy cheap I've yet to find one yet that didn't quickly go up a few bucks for quick in and out turnaround. I never hold much long term in my "play around" account so it works out. And I don't do options gambling.

In my analysis, SPACs follow a very discernible share price pattern. If you play the pattern and dont get "too" greedy, you should do ok. With SPACs remember the golden rule...

They've seemed to have been too good to be true if you get in close to 10. No real risk downside and very good chance it goes up a couple dollars while waiting for merger. Lets use them while the getting is good, I can't see how such a "sure thing" lasts long term.

That's what I'm doing, currently have 100 shares in BFT, BTWN, and IPV
