I have this nagging sensation the market is going to go sideways (at best) for a while.
Crypto blew up this weekend, real estate at all time highs...
Would pull the money out, but honestly don't know where I would put it.
Fucking silver is even still high.

If you just want to do something with it.....dividend stocks ..quarterly or monthly. It's not pretty but it's something and they won't lose their value too much probably.

REITS still terrify me. Grandpa's dividend stocks that aren't likely to go bankrupt without gov permission soon are probably the 'safest' area of the market. That said, dunno that I'd over invest in them. We're overvalued, but the government seems hell bent on printing money fast enough to fix that, so I'm staying fairly wide market and just letting what happens happen.

I was looking at buying a new house. Prices jumped $20k in the area from last week to this week. I should have got on that train 6 months ago when you did. Oh well.

I think it's still saving to buy a home if you need one. Prices are crazy high, that's mostly due to interest rates. if you intend to get a mortgage, you're total out of pocket at the end of the loan is likely less than if you bought a year or 2 ago.
i hope to have this year's Roth IRA fully funded by end of March. Instead of broad indexes, I think this year's funding will more focus on ETFs that focus on dividend stocks. I have a few of these in there now, I want to increase the mix of these. There's a few that are mostly aristocrats. those dividends will give my IRA some fun money to continue to buy a few stocks over the year.

First trading day of the new year. Lots of people I figure are taking the opportunity to bank those short term gains and push them out to the next tax year.

S&P 500 down 1.5% with TSL up nearly 4%. If TSLA reverses and tanks, S&P 500 gonna be feeling the pain biggly.

Wrote some puts for KO expiring on 1/15. $50 strike at 25 cent premium. If I get assigned at that price the div yield is about 3.3%. Backtesting estimates a 6% chance of assignment.

Market opened to a bloodbath, bought NGA on the dip at 18 and MARA on the 10 dip - NGA signed a deal to sell EV's to amazon and MARA is a bitcoin sympathy play. Only thing that didn't get killed were my green energy ETFs
