And now 9 months later still below that run up. It's just the experienced taking money from the inexperienced. As I've mentioned before, for AMZN I think it would matter, no it doesn't make the company worth more but it does make it more accessible to the options market. NVDA was getting a little pricey to sell a contract but not particularly inhibitive yet.

I'm on your side, I would 4:1 anytime stock hit a sustainable $500/share. Some of these companies it becomes an ego thing of wanting to pump that number really high and block out the little guy more. Gives you a more stable ownership base.

I am old enough to remember the .com crash. Damn it was oogly.
I watch Cathy's trades every day. Its like every single trade is done in a vacuum. She buys COIN sub-$210 during the crash. And then she buys more the next day in the 220's. If you think the floor is sub-210, why didnt you just splurge to your full position there, why buy another 1/4 million shares the next day and cost your investors 2.5 million dollars in value. Either she is the type of genius we havent seen in the last 50 years or she is just totally out of her league and got lucky as fuck last year and is being kept afloat by CNBC lavishing praise on her daily and giving her face time on the show.
I dont know which she is.

I think she was right, and got the timing right, then that timing turned really bad and I'm not sure she is going to be able to reframe her thinking for a hostile environment.
But not a genius.
Just one of many, but happened to have a large investment firm and became a semi media darling.
Tbh, I think she is going to get chewed up and spit out over the next 1-3 years.

Its like she has ADHD and cant just sit on a good position. She always has to be tinkering. the thing is all these trades generate trade fees and taxes on the sales which come right off the top in terms of bottom line profits to the customers. Its one reason I look at portfolio churn when considering a new ETF to take a position in.

I remember someone posted a relative having a high stake of ark. RIP in peace. I really have an easy time ignoring market geniuses, especially in a bull market. Money has always been crazy, and reading about the tulip craze should mandatory for any investor who thinks they've figured out how to beat the market. When you get desperate for big wins in a market is when you get taken to the slaughter house.

To be fair, she has crushed the SPY over the last 5 years. That isnt easy to do. If you exclude the last 12 months phenomenal run she had she still crushed the SPY over the previous 4 years.
