So what can be done with reducing your tax burden? If I was to sell all of my long AMD position I would have a hefty tax bill.

So this AM I lost $1200 on AMD and made 1200 back. I got the damn Pfizer shot and feel lightheaded. I hit short instead of buy at open (also didn't hotkey my stop loss). And my kids were a distraction.
To be honest, got the Pfizer shot on Friday night and haven't been right since. I feel a little sick, maybe I shouldn't be trading today.

Based on previous posts it sounds like you do your best trading when you're at perfection equillibrium emotionally. Not feeling well sounds like a great excuse to take the day off, especially if you got back to even. Rinse/repeat as long as you're not feeling great.

My father-in-law does the same shit. I tell him oxygen molecules are larger than Coronachan molecules and if air can fit through how does it stop the virus molecules. It has shut him up for a while now about it.

What an ugly trading day. I lost $1,200 this AM, but made 1,456 the rest of the day. Net profit was 256.11, to be exact. The positives are I'm trading 60k at a time and not nervous. Negatives are I feel sick and shouldn't be trading. Factor out the open (where I somehow shorted with no stop loss, some sort of brain fog from the vaccine) and I would have made 2,600 today.
I did make a bit shorting AMD in the last hour. Stock is at its 12 month target (from now) on tipranks, people are saying to hold it. Its just running on momentum at this point. So when the traders bailed from their positions so they could avoid margin interest, I shorted.
All I can do is log what happened and do better tomorrow.
I don't know if this was a good day, or a shitty day.

Being able to short 566 shares at the close made up for my issues at the open. I didn't capture the whole move, I was just glad to dig myself out of the hole. I wasn't feeling well and made the stupidest trades. Anyway, shorting 566 shares at 1.5 would've been roughly 849 profit in about an hour (CIRCLED). I was waiting for the sell signal, because AMD has run so hard that no trader wants to hold it at the end of the day.
