It's beyond the scope of a small post here. The theory is since market makers have to hedge against options they have to buy/sell stock to hedge against the options. When lots and lots of options expire they can unwind their hedges. Unless those options get rolled out.
Example if 10,000 call options expire tomorrow, the market makers might have 1,000,000 shares they bought to hedge the options and can now sell then. The opposite applies for sell options.

BSFC in premarket this morning holy shit. Have not seen this kind of run up in a bit.
Went from 4 to 7, then ballistic up to 25. Extremely hard crash to 8 then back up to 12 for a slow fade to 10.
I had no position and think it'll probably close under 4 today but was an amusing morning. Webull says it's 140% insider owned no clue if relevant or not but that % gainer is fishy.
