Most of it Was ok. The kids attitudes were forced. The slideshow was good shit until the gitant penny wise jumps out and looked like it was the worst cgi ever.
problem is creeping dread is a lot easier to pull off over a mini series where you are seeing him a few times in an episode. In a 2 hour movie when he has to show up to at least each of the main characters one or more times there just is a limit to how much creeping that can happen there under those constraints.Pennywise is best used as a slow burn, being creepy and unsettling. New movie tried to go jump scare/modern horror instead of creeping dread, with small payoffs.
That's a good point. I though The Exorcist show on Fox was fantastic, but it was a slow build to full on demon possession. Teach Grant and Jess Weixler are set to join New Line’s “It: Chapter Two,” sources tell Variety.
Grant will play bully Henry Bowers, who was portrayed by Nicholas Hamilton in the first movie, and Weixler will play Bill’s wife.
