You'd be surprised how low a level of status you have to hit in order for woman to start throwing themselves at you and trying to break up your marriage.
My grandfather was a successful car salesman and eventually opened up a couple of dealerships (this was back before huge corporations owned most of them). He died relatively young so my Uncle took over running the business.
Many years later when I was an adult he told me the unbelievable lengths some women would go through to try and pry him away from my Aunt for their own selfish reasons. He wasn't even close to some Bezosian level either, just moderately successful in a local context and pulling in (i'm guessing) about what a high paid professional would make.

yes, many of us know that already is my point.. the cover story Dan gives is that he won it from 'poker' but the poker community has investigated and basically debunked that.
