I know people who never watched Joker because of all the mainstream media propaganda about not going to see it because it glorifies toxic masculinity and right-wingers will probably bomb the theater.

I've never seen anything like that before, the media trying to hurt a freaking movie's sales. Was completely bizarre. Didn't have much effect, I don't think. But I do know people who have a bad opinion of the movie because of the media and won't watch it. I've seen all kinds of ludicrous madness in the last few years so it's just another drop in the bucket.

its understandable she is going into acting. Madonna did the same. i think she would be a fine actress, but at her age, its not going to be a long career. people are just tired of her. nothing personal, happens to most everyone.

Her choice is movies or her own show in Vegas where she sings the same 17 songs every day for the rest of her life.

thats the inevitable choice, her first album is pretty solid. she has a half dozen good songs on there. bands are lucky to have 3 or 4 solid hits in a single album. i think she has a few good songs after that. 17 is pushing it. that said, if she was in Vegas doing only her good songs, id go see her sing them.

Katy Perry's contract is for $168 million. 5 million per show. Pretty solid dosh for someone who hasn't had a hit album in almost 10 years.

Supposedly she is worth $110m. This is what I dont get. Once you are on the downside of your career and have amassed that much wealth, just go live you life. Enough of this "reinventing shit". Most likely they have this unquenchable thirst for attention and it kills them to be out of the spotlight. What a miserable existence that must be.

i assume all these rich people have people tell them every day how awesome they are. to the point where they believe that their awesomeness is so awesome that they can do anything. maybe thats how we get the greatest basketball player of all time to believe that he can now play baseball and be just as awesome. a supermodel thinks posing for pictures means she can act, a porn star thinks she would be a great country singer or a one time mega star pop singer is now a great actress and politician. wouldnt surprise if me Gaga runs for office at some point. i hope not, cuz she's really laughably bad at it.

The David Zaslav-run Warner Bros Discovery is serious about making DC a brand that’s fiercely competitive with Disney’s Marvel.

Digital distribution is the only reason she wasn't disappeared after her 3rd album.

A major label like Interscope would have already pulled all her budget after the 2nd album performance. Other artists that have a diamond first album shared that fate.
