lol. I've never understood it either. But upon realizing that brits/aussies do this I have come to find it somehow fits.

I guess the truth is because there are different types of math, so you just say "maths" in order to forestall some dry british joke about "Oy Guvnah, which math do you mean then?"

Well, we do say "mathematics" in the plural. I guess the Brits keep the S when using the shortened form while we chose not to.

I just don't get the emotional investment the AA media especially has for this one case, out of the literally millions of african american youth untimely deaths across the country, this ONE is the one they care about. Makes so little sense. Fucking media.

Even if that was true, I can only assume then that the OJ trial proved that black men can kill white women and get away with it
