WB shouldn't have said anything before releasing this cut re: No more DCEU movies. I think a Sequel to this Justice League would do great box office but they can't get out of their own way. A big part of their problem is you can't start off with Infinity War/Endgame, but that's a different issue. MOS/BvS/JL from a story perspective is a good start but needs more time to breathe. (I need to go back and re-watch BvS; I didn't like the choice of that story at the time but I don't remember hating the movie) It may be the one thing Joss Whedon's JL gets right is the (lack of) immediacy of the threat of Darkseid, at least in the film universe context. I think Marvel does this extreme well: Even if Feige Wokes up Marvel now, we will still have that 22 movie run.
Of course in the real sense its all done and WB has futzed this all to hell. Affleck was the best Batman, period but good luck getting him back in the suit. Superman? So much bad blood there and from what I hear, WB trying to cash in on current "trends": I won't see a woke BLM Superman at all. They somehow managed to make a good Aquaman movie and are letting that franchise rot. WW84 is indication they are in pure pander mode there. Joker will probably lead to more of the wrong lessons and more bad movies trying to ape the message of that One in a million crap shot. This is a window at what could have been and its a great scene.
